My Sister's family and I went out for my Nephew's birthday. This had been his go birthday place for a few years. The food is excellent, the drink menu is always interesting and different. Some of the people at the table had the steaks, which...were cooked as ordered and was told they were very good. I had the Tune Tartar for an appetizer and the Pistachio crusted grouper for a main. Both were excellent, the tuna was done as a "cake" with tuna on the bottom, avocado in the middle and tuna on top with soy sauce around it. The Grouper did not skimp on the pistachios and a had a nice beet and fennel salad underneath it. Highly recommend going to this restaurant. They have appropriate seating for the COVID rules both inside and out. We chose outside, which was on their desk, which is now covered and screened in, so it was very comfortable.More

Outstanding! One of the best meals we had during our stay at the shore. We are during Covid 19 and we felt comfortable. Temperatures were taken upon entering, tables outside were spaced apart and staff kept their masks on. Service was stellar. Friendly and warm....Seafood was fresh and delicious. We loved every thing about this place!More

Located in an out of the way destination under a bridge, this popular seafood restaurant always impresses with it's fresh fish and inventive preparations. The complimentary pumpernickel/raisin rolls were good. An order of the NE clam chowder was very good with plenty of clams and...a broth that was less thick but still creamy. It came in a huge bowl that appeared to be barely filled but that was deceiving as the portion was adequate. An entree of chilean sea bass with accompanying vegetable was excellent. The fillet was moist and cooked perfectly. The halibut crusted entree was similarly excellent. The dirty martinis were very good. My only complaint was the noise level which was very loud in the open air dining room.More

We enjoyed an early dinner in late June. When we arrived it was moderately warm , but the ocean breeze kept us cool on the deck patio, perfect for a before dinner cocktail. A fine assortment of cool beverages at the fully stocked bar. Appetizers...were good, we had coconut shrimp and an assortment of oysters (4 kinds). All were very fresh. For dinner we had scallops, catch of the day maki maki, and the veal chop. All were good and the sides were perfect choices to compliment the meal. We had no room for the desserts, but they all looked fabulous. Not cheap , but what is on the Jersey Shore?More

Restaurant packed on a Saturday night, service kept up well. Food was good, no complaints there. However, freezing air conditioning on full blast, so dimly lit you need your phone glow to see menu. Music volume at ‘bar’ level with odd collection of songs -...Fleetwood Mac to current teeny bopper hits. Our server had to almost shout so we could hear her due to the music volume. They’ve got the food and service part right, they could make a few small adjustments to make the experience a little more pleasant.More

We had dinner on a Friday night in late August based on the recommendation of the B&B we were staying at. We had a reservation, but opted for outside seating because the noise level inside was intolerable. Our waitress said it was much worse on...a Saturday night, and that she usually lost her voice by have to yell so much in order to be heard. This is definitely NOT the place for a relaxing romantic dinner on the weekend. Outside seating was nice, though the only view is of the parking lot. We were lucky to get one of the last parking spots available. Service was very good and so was the food, though the halibut was probably only 4 oz (we eat it at home all the time, so we know portion sizes), which was small for the price charged. This is not a cheap restaurant. There is a huge bar scene which contributes to the noise level in the restaurant. We ate here because we were staying in the area at a B&B. Otherwise this is not a place we would return to unless it was off beach season and during the week.More

Always a good experience! Grouper is fantastic and surf and turf perfect. Never a bad meal and very attentive service

Excellent meal with our family. The sautéd Halibut was delicious and cooked perfectly, as was the grouper. I had the bartenders choice drink purple rain and it was delicious. Dessert was good as well.

Chocolate martini is the best Chris makes the best. The crowd and staff always great. Food is always very good what ever we order.

We were able to sit in the outside area which was very nice on a summer night. View is only of the parking lot however. Definitely need to make reservations. Ordered a few appetizers to share which were all delicious: grilled octopus, barratta, seafood salad...and beet salad. Entrees were all on point as well: scallops, tuna, chicken, sea bass and chop. Service timing was perfect. Didn’t feel rushed or have to wait long for food to arrive. Will definitely go back.More

We have been coming to Shipwreck Grill now for at least 3 years and each time we dine here we have no complaints. The ambiance, the bar staff, the servers and our food selections have never disappointed us! This past Sunday evening we started with...oysters, crab cake app, filet mignon and lobster tails cooked to perfection! Make sure you have made reservations well in advance especially for busy weekend nights. This is a must try when in Pt. Pleasant.More

Shipwreck is fantastic. Never had a bad meal here - I don't think there is a bad choice on the menu. There is a nice bar if you don't want table service . Great bread and desserts as well. Menu is pricey, but well worth...it. This is our anniversary spot every winter and I don't think that will ever change.More
