This is an iconic diner inside and out. It has been expanded in the back with some of the original design of stalls and counter left up front. Cooking is done in a separate kitchen in the back. The menu is printed on both sides...of a paper place-mat. There is plenty to choose from morning through evening. We had breakfast. The eggs and potatoes arrived well done and a bit dry, and the toast was crispy with a touch of butter. Service was OK for order taking, but little more. There were three wait staff and about half the tables occupied. Upon arriving there was no greeting. We wandered around to find a table. Our orders were taken quickly but with little more than a Hi. Food arrived as described, coffee topped off and then the check followed. This was the routine we witnessed during our 45 minute stay. Like the food the service was just OK.More

Good food and service but prices have increased by at least 35% in 3 months. A steak was $9.99 now $23.00, club sandwich was $7.99 now $13.00. All the town regulars have left. This is a diner in a small small town that was a...meeting place for Locals for over 45 years. New owner fixed old diner up very nice, and the patrons are paying for it. It’s a shame another local place is going to be lost. There is no glamour to warrant the increase in prices. I guess no more Fun family dinners. Two sandwiches with an ice tea $40.00. Dales deli across the street Is as good but take out. I guess we will take out and find a park bench.More

Three words - Friday Night Chicken. Their Friday night specials typically consist of a number of Italian chicken dishes and they’re fantastic. The quantity of chicken is enough to last 2-3 meals and the sauces are delish. Their other diner standards are typical diner fare,...but those specials really stand out. My one issue? Salad dressings are served in packets. But I’ll let that slide.More

I was in town for the Camp Crystal Lake Tour not too far from this restaurant. Had to make a stop at this restaurant while in town! It was a very enjoyable dinner visit, with a customized menus and decorations for Friday the 13th fans,...not to mention souvenirs. They even put a map up for Friday the 13th fans to pin where they are from. I ordered the 'Steve Christy' from the menu, which was a turkey wrap, with fries. Delsh. For those pondering whether or not to go the the Crystal Lake tour on a future Friday the 13th...do it! Most of the movie was filmed there, and you can see all the original locations/sites. Even Tom Savini was there!More

The service was friendly, good food and a good value. We met the new owner and thanked him for his generous donation to the American Legion on Memorial Day.

I stopped at the Blairstown Diner for lunch because it was the only restaurant open on a Sunday afternoon. With Blair Academy out for the summer, the whole town is quiet. I had gone into Blairstown to see the museum but it was closed for...the afternoon so I just walked around the town that the movie "Friday the 13th" put on the map. The whole town looks like it is falling apart. It needs a renovation. The diner, which was featured in the film, is getting its own cult following and the new owner is smart enough to capitalize on it. The best part is that the food and service are quite good. I had a hamburger platter that I had for lunch was really good. The hamburger was juicy and perfectly cooked and the portion size was very fair. The fries were also cooked perfectly and I had a nice lunch. The young lady who waited on me could not have been nicer and we talked about the diner and its place in the film. I was impressed that the owner sold tee-shirts with the Jason logo on it (and is able to get away with it). The place will probably be mobbed when Friday the 13th rolls around again. Still I think that the food and service were really good and if you are in the area it is a nice place to stop for a meal.More

Go there regularly for Breakfast. Great service and food. Recently they've been advertising on their FB site for dinner. Twice we've gone there and both times, they were out of the food described in their daily specials. Last visit the waitress was great and attentive....Unfortunately, she and the person in the kitchen were the only two actually working. I think we will wait a couple of months to let the new ownership decide if they really want to commit to dinner. During the interim, we'll enjoy their breakfast.More

This diner only gets business because of the notoriety from "Friday the 13th." We came to experience, but the service was horrendous. They jam as many people as they possible can into the restaurant with no respect for patrons. (I was sitting in a booth...and people were constantly bumping into my elbows as they were waiting on a line inside since the restaurant sells t-shirts as a gimmick.) The food wasn't good and diner doesn't take charge cards.More
