The patio area was great, the tables were pretty well socially distanced, the waterside view of the Shark River is probably ok if you're an average diner ( local road bridges cross within sight ) to great if you're like me and you like railroads...( NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line commuter trains cross, maybe 1 per hour. ) We started with delicious Manhattan Clam Chowder, I went with Broiled Scallops and Shrimp, my wife had a Cesar Salad with Broiled Shrimp. The broiled shrimp were great, the scallops weren't really broiled much so they were kind of tasteless, so I'd get the Broiled Shrimp Platter next time. For drinks we started with some really nice White Sangria and finished with some very good coffee. The wait staff was great and we didn't have to wait long between courses so it was a very enjoyable meal.More

Food is amazing. What more do you want?! Just...pack up the fam and head there. The menu is all good but the clams and scallops are incredible'! Would have rated a "5" but the price of a large group really adds up-especially with the mandatory 20% TIP. As a local I have visited this place many times. I decided to get a poké bowl for the first time and to be honest, it was embarrassing. It came in a child’s size cereal bowl with about a cup of rice, 3 strings of...seaweed , a quarter of an avocado, and about 8 finely chopped pieces of tuna. At least charge more and make it an actual meal. My entire table and waitress laughed at it. On the bright side, service was good. Place has turned into a tourist trap. We came in unannounced and was seated outside on the deck patio, by the water. It was chilly that day on the water but the service and food was very good. We thought it was very pricey, but because of Covid 19, I guess everyone...has to raise the prices. But still. I am sure many people will be turned off by the pricing, and then you have the regulars where money is no concern. We got there just before noon and when we left, there was a line out the door, so there is something to be said about this place.More

We started our meal sitting outside by the water. There were many pleasure and fishing boats going under the roadway and train trestle. The service was as fantastic as the food. We ordered the little neck clams as an appetizer. The shrimp and sea scallops...were phenomenal as was the fish and chips. This is their signature dish. The freshness was perfect and meal was cooked to perfection. The tartar sauce and coleslaw was equally delicious. Homemade French fries were perfect for a great meal. Presentation was typical for a seafood restaurant. What a great experience!More

We stopped in for lunch on the water. The staff was great and the food was better. I like really mild fish and the flounder was perfect.

fter enduring hands down the worst hostess service ever, finally sitting down 2 hours later. A hostess shouldn’t grief you about your name, especially after you told them 4 times and spelled it a few more times only for them to get it wrong. Do...you need to provide your identification? I wasn’t the only person this happened to. Work on teaching your hostesses a little bit of professionalism, but it’s doubtful I will be back after decades of coming here. Regarding quality, the fish tacos were actually better, and you cannot mess up crab legs. But holy batman ripoff stuffed shrimp. Like a previous reviewer, it was not crab, but crab stuffing and 4 shrimps...Jumbo they weren't. One final note, why take away half the restaurant to create a bar that will not be busy outside of summer time to make horrendous wait times to eat?More

Went there the Thursday after Father’s Day, I had my usual fish and chips. It was horrible. The fish was unidentifiable. Because of the machinist of the fish I’m gonna assume it was Basa. My chips and my fish was cooked in olive oil, and...batter on the fish was soggy because it wasn’t cooked all the way. I’ve been going to Klein‘s for over 20 years many times and the one thing I can say for sure, their food is very inconsistent .I will say that all the waiters and waitresses that I’ve ever waited on me were terrific. I’m sure they have to put up with a lot of complaints about the food though. This will probably be my last trip there.More

Been coming to Klein’s for years and when my kids were little it was a perfect place to bring them to eat as they were entertained by the boats and trains, however we have not been here for a while due to covid, We were...excited to be visiting on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, but our excitement soon turned to disappointment when we realized the cost of meals were very expensive for a midday meal and much too expensive for the portions you received. The food was good…it always has been, but feel like the cost was in large part due to location and ambiance and not necessarily the meals.More

Just ok. Great location. I expected the food to match the location. More on a Red Lobster quality with double the price. Didn’t leave feeling that was a great meal.
