sandwiches are premade and not that great. So no substitutions. Place has it's own rules (like no substitutes) and the owner/worker lady aren't very nice. Close your eyes and you'd think of Seinfeld's soup nazi.

This is a great place for salad's (you can build your own), sandwiches, soups, and delicious homemade bakes & treats. The owners are very friendly, customer service is excellent and the food is fresh & delicious! Definitely a great place to get a bite to...eat if you are on the go and looking for a quick healthy option or to dine in.More

Went here to buy several sandwiches for a lunch with friends. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Well worth going here for a nice variety of food. Very good service and delighted with our sandwich choices.

It's a small place but the soups are good and it was just across the street from the hotel. It closed around 6 pm but maybe that's due to its location.

My first trip here was great so I returned several times. I haven't been back since because the lady at the cash register is nasty. The staff is easily flustered and scattered. The stress level behind the counter isn't worth the soup.

This is a little place with great food. It's all very quick. There's a few tables to sit and eat or you can take out. There's always a selection of 5 or 6 soups to choose from and they are happy to let you sample...before you choose. They will tell you ingredients and help you decide. The bread that came with the soup was also great. I've had the pumpkin bisque the tomato bisque the lentil and the chicken noodle. All very good. There's also a ton of sides and salads and premade wraps, coffee, granola bars, nuts, fruit, etc. Great place. (I wish they would use paper containers for larger sizes of soup to go. )More

Came here for lunch a few times (mostly at the request of a certain coworker who loved turkey sandwiches) and there was always something a bit off about the experience. The Soup Shoppe makes decent sandwiches and pretty average tasting soup. Sandwiches are good, so...if you decide to get a sandwich here, get the Turkey Cranberry Chutney. Skip the soup because ironically, it's not anything to harp about. I also tried their salad once, but only once because they overcharge for their salads and pretty much everything else in the store. The business is inefficient in handling customers during the lunch rush, the payments system is outdated, and menu/beverage items are mischaracterized on their receipts. I guess I could give Soup Shoppe a pass if they offered an extraordinary value for the food they served, but that was simply not the case. At the very least, customer service was good, but they have little signs taped on various areas of the store that say "We have the right to refuse service to anyone" and "No cellphone use", which would lead many to believe that the people who run this store are uptight and selective in who to sell their mediocre products to. I'm writing this lengthy review not because I hate the Soup Shoppe but because I think it's a store with a lot of underdeveloped potential. First thing's first... lose those repackaged M&M's that you guys place near the register because it's unappealing to see 15 M&M's shoved into a unlabeled plastic bag for $2.More

Went with my sisters and we each had a great lunch, chicken soup was very good, salmon dinner excellent and salad which you choose toppings was another good choice. It was warm enough to eat outside, only draw back is the cars parking so close...to the tables.More

It's always hard for me to find healthy food to grab for lunch while I'm working. Usually the options available for the lunch time business crowd is extremely unhealthy and can be held in your hand. What I like about the Soupe Shoppe is they...have vegetarian as well as vegan options! Their soups are absolutely delicious, and it feels good to know that I can keep to an alternative diet without having to worry. The staff is super kind and courteous. It gets a little bit busy around lunchtime, especially with people wanting tossed salads. Go before 12:15 and you should be able to beat the crowd!More

A gem and great lunch place. It's close to one of my office locations and I have visited it numerous times. Soups and sandwiches are great. The vegetarian in me always find something of interest and taste here. Love it and would highly recommend. It's...a family business and the owner takes personal pride in his offerings that I really like. Great service and overall energy.More

This is a little gem if you are looking for simple and delicious served by two people who take pride in their business. I was having a bad day and met my wife for lunch to get her advice. From the moment we arrived until...we finished our lunch, the man cooking and the woman working the register couldn't have been more pleasant and very genuine and positive. I am not a fan of the chain restaurants so I really enjoy the sole proprietor places where the owners take pride in their food and service. I will go here for lunch again in the near future.More

Meh, this place is just okay. I stopped here back in February for a quick lunch and I really wasn't impressed. The sandwich I had was decent, but not amazing; it had good flavor, but was a bit pricey and small. My co-workers enjoyed their...soup, but I didn't have any, so I can't comment on that. I doubt I would come here again.More

We reluctantly entered this little shop for breakfast and were walking out when the owner promised us the best coffee in New Jersey. He was almost right about that. Equally enjoyable was the excellent oatmeal, which he liberally sprinkled with walnuts, pecans, and cinammon, and...the egg and cheese bagel sanwich too -- all at very reasonable prices and certainly superior to the Courtyard Marriott up the street. We also purchased a chicken sandwich for the road and that was terrific too. All in all, a happy unplanned place that we'll return too next time we're in this part of New Jersey.More

This is so awful. I rarely write bad reviews but I feel like I need to write it this time. I ordered a Half sandwich and a chicken noodle soup from there yesterday. When the cashier, or the owner of the store rang me up,...she said $15.97. I asked her. Oh. The soup is $4 the sandwich is $5. How did it come up to be $15.97?? She said, Well you wanted it combo didn't you? It comes with an apple and a piece of roll. I said, "you asked me if I wanted an apple and he roll, and said that IT COMES with it, so I said yes. I didn't know that 1 Apple and a piece is going to cost me another $6!!!! No thank you, I don't want the combo. Then she immediately said, $9.57. Anyone reading this would be shocked to see how they run their business. It is so gross and I feel like I was robbed. Does Anyone have the same Experience with this shop? And btw, they never provide you with a receipt either. The people who are buying lunches here either do not check how much they got charged or too busy to check. I think the owners are well sere of it and take advantage of this. This is the 3rd time this happened to me. The first time, I thought there must be an err and let it go. The 2nd time that it happened, I thought, ok maybe they were too busy. This time , i am so sure and saw Everything. They thought I wasn't paying attention and thus charged me $15.97 initially. When I asked them how much were the half sandwich and the small soup. She realized that I knew and immediately took back the $15.97 price and said. If you don't want the combo. It will be $9.75. I asked her, what comes with the combo. She said, a roll and an apple. I said for an Extra $6????? For an Apple and a piece of bread ?? I hope, if anything. Anyone with similar experience write reviews so that the owner will no longer able to do this. I am so very upset and hope that whoever goes there be very careful with them.More
