Had dinner during the week, when on way to business meeting. The folks working there were very, very friendly and welcoming. They were the best part. The food was over-cooked and lacking in any subtlety of flavor. But it also took 45 minutes to get, despite there only being one other table there when I ordered. I ended up having... More

We stopped into El Centenario for a late lunch yesterday and were pleasantly surprised! There was only one other couple there when we entered, but several others came in during our lunch. The hostess/waitress/bartender was great, she was personable, efficient and knowledgeable. Since we were there for a late lunch we decided on two appetizers: the Botana which was an... More

We recently stumbled upon this hidden gem in Wolfeboro, NH. We were pleasantly surprise to see authentic Mexican food, in America's oldest summer resort, located right off the Main Street, next to town hall. The restaurant is not large but it was clean, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious !!!! We highly recommend Their home made guacamole,... More

I know- how can Wolfeboro NH have great mexican food>??? I am from Texas and should know. It's great. The meat, whether chicken, beef or pork is perfection. Table side guacamole is there for the asking. All the dishes are excellent. Go early, if crowded, the service can be slow- or just relax and have another Margarita.

This is a very small restaurant; make a reservation! Our first time they here they told us they "have real Mexicans working in the kitchen"! That being said, the servers are very nice and work very, very hard. The food is excellent. Order the made-at-your-table guacamole--delicious.

I wanted to like this place..and in all fairness it was okay when I went a couple years ago. I'm picky..so maybe this place might be okay if you aren't..as there seemed to be people there who were enjoying the food. Our meals were bad. We should have listened when the lovely waitress tried to steer my husband to a... More
