I had the opportunity to have dinner here as a special occasion and it was delightful. The service was impeccable, the food was prepared well and we were not rushed. Definitely a lovely find in Wolfboro.

We looked at the menu for Mise en Place before we decided to go there. Unfortunately, the two things my husband wanted had been taken off but the webmaster hadn't put up the new menu yet. That will be done soon. That said, make reservations....We didn't have any but they let us sit at the bar -- not my favorite. The wait staff were lovely and chatted with us. The food was great. My husband had the duck and I had veal. Delicious. And we split a caesar salad. RecommendMore

Local menu, great service & food! We were tired travelers and we were grateful to find a menu that had slow food. That is Locally sourced a talented chef offering a thoughtful variety to select from.

We came by boat, very easy walk from the docks to this restaurant. Service was Great. I did not realize I should of made a reservation prior to our arrival, however we asked to sit at the outside patio and they easily found us a...spot. Food is very fresh, not large dishes of food, but just enough. If you have been to Europe, you'll understand. You can tell your food is made to order. I like to drink wine, which you can easily order here. Not a large selection of mixed drinks available if your not a wine drinker. Since it was such a beautiful night to sit outside, we met some great people seated around us. Yes, I read the reviews that the food is a little pricey, but I thought the food was perfectly done as well as the friendly atmosphere and service. We will be back for more!More

It is a place that offers pricy dinners in a not very charmy ambience. Definetly not worth the money for what you get

Not fast but great food in an elegant and intimate setting. Portions very European - the emphasis is on taste and presentation. My steak was very delicious and cooked exactly how I ordered it - medium. My wedge salad was small but very well-crafted. Accompanying...friends were all happy with their choices. Prices are high but appropriate for the delivered quality. Service can be stretched if too many show up at the same time. But if you have time, go and enjoy a great culinary experience.More

This was our 5th year or so going to dinner at Mise En Place and the food is always excellent. Restaurant is small but ambiance is cozy. The lobster risotto is excellent, we had delicious appetizers including the fried goat cheese, and the gnocchi chowder...was very interesting. We will keep going back. Wine list is limited.More

I really wanted to be able to give this place a good review. We had gone a few times several years ago but had stopped for some reason that we couldn't recall. Now we remember. The portions were terribly small. For appetizers, I had the...ravioli. It was two tiny ravioli, barely four bites. My husband had the lamb lollipops and received two of them, which was fine. However, he ordered the rack of lamb as his main course, and when it came out, it was the exact same lamb lollipops, only there were four of them instead of two, for three times the price. We also decided to split the "heirloom" tomato appetizer. It was a disgrace. They had cut 6 red and yellow grape tomatoes in half, drizzled them with oil and sprinkled a couple of tiny little clumps of some type of cheese on top. Tasteless. We each had a drink and dessert, which was just ok, and the bill was nearly $200. Next time, we will remember why we stopped going here.More

Mise En Place was to put it succinctly: AMAZING. The decor is beautiful, the food was incredible, and our server was wonderful. I would recommend this lovely bistro to anyone who is looking for a romantic, beautiful experience. The owner/chef made a stop at the...table to make sure we were enjoying our meal, and she couldn't have been lovelier. The lobster risotto was fabulous, and my filet and crab were delectable.More
