My family and friends went to have brunch/ breakfast after a camping trip. We thought let’s try a new Hampshire food and sitting in a restaurant to feel the atmosphere. The wait was crazy but we said it is ok , it worth the experience.... So my cat was with us inside his portable kennel scarred and quiet . By the table outside . Then an older female employee ( maybe the manager) came talking to me with a loud tune asking WHAT IS THAT pointing to the cat I said he is my cat with a smile , then she said I DO NOT WANT IT ON MY TABLE AND EVEN MORE INSIDE MY RESTAURANT, I told her well sorry we should asked before we came here but we already waited for 20 minutes or more , then. I asked her do you think he will get ticks from the grass , she said always with high tune MOST LIKELY … then we sat by the table outside , the service was very slow , I dunno if it was intentional… I put the cat kennel on the secured umbrella tiles .We live far and we had a long ride home , so I didn’t think about it at the that time , I was exhausted from the camping trip but Now when I think about it , she was not talking about the cat only she was talking about all of us , we were not welcomed at her place , and She was trying so hard to do not let us inside the building. I will never go back there again , for me the feeling to be welcomed and respected at any place is very important . The food was average , the waitress was nice or maybe just doing her job .. that woman behaviour made me question everyone and everything .it left a bad taste in my mouth … I will not go there again and I will tell everyone about my experience. She could say what she said differently, we were there to eat / pay and leave .. Learn how to respect people . No one is better than other only with the amount of good stuff you do .More

I am the owner & I was the one who sat you & spoke to you . Your party was very large, so yes there was a longer wait. You started as a party of 9 & changed it to 15, and back to 9...More

OH MY GOSH!!! Run don't walk or you will miss the very best food. Stopped in for breakfas on our way home. Drove by and noticed all the cars in the parking lot so turned around and headed back. Not at all disappointed that we...did. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the place is clean as can be. My husband ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. I had the stuffed crepes with fresh berry sauce and sliced banana. Yummy. My husband said they were the best pancakes he had EVER eaten. My crepes were fabulous. Coffee cup as always kept filled and the server was so friendly and provided service with a smile. I wish we had discovered this place a few days before. On leaving everyone thanked us for coming and said "come again". They serve breakfast and lunch and I believe dinner. On our way out we noticed the wonderful cinnamon rolls and sticky buns which we would have ordered if we had seen them. We were told that the owner is a wonderful baker and makes everything homemade. STOP BY YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.More

We drove for lunch last Weds , because were tired of the big lunches at the hotel. My Wife had the best cheese sandwich , just like her mother used to make and Had large tuna melt. Our waiter Linda gave us a couple extra...bags of chips but do not say anything. Clean, quiet and friendly with plenty of parking.More

Was craving turkey dinner and remembered how much we had liked it here. Hubby had turkey dinner with mashed and Mac cheese. I had country fried chicken breast with mashed and salad. Everything came out hot and tasty. The turkey comes with stuffing which was...delicious. Gravy was good too. Both turkey and chicken were moist, not dry at all. Service is excellent.More

I'm from south Louisiana, so it's difficult to find food we consider to be good food while on vacation. I cannot say enough about Grandma's kitchen. We had chicken fried chicken and I must say this was by far the best meal we had in...the past 7 days! The chicken was seasoned perfectly! The service was just as good as the food! Almost like a good southern restaurant! Everyone was so friendly, which has not been our experience with anyone else we've encountered on this trip. I highly recommend stopping by Grandma's Kitchen if you are ever in the area. They have home style comfort food and Italian food! I also saw a display of muffins and sticky buns that looked amazing but was too stuffed to try them.More

Delicious home cooking with generous portions. Eggplant parmesan and chicken pot pie were both fantastic! Our server, Kat, was top notch as well. Don’t miss this place!

We had been driving by this place for two days and were so glad to find it open as there aren’t many other options in the area. We had an excellent breakfast! I had absolutely delicious blueberry pancakes with two eggs, two pieces of bacon...(cooked to my liking), and two sausage links. This meal came out super hot off the grill (I always love a good HOT meal). My husband had the same except with French toast instead of pancakes and he loved his as well. I wish we had been here other times to try this place out fir lunch or dinner. They are closed on mondays and tuesdays.More

Out for a drive Labor Day Sunday, not a great idea... Found Grandma'"s by chance. what a great place. Our server Kat was fantastic. The food was great. Grandma's is a homey place, we ordered chicken tenders, they were homemade and delicious. I had the...chicken parm, Kat warned that the portion was large, boy was she right. It was excellent, the sauce was homemade... the grilled bacon wrapped meatloaf was very good. The service was great, shout out to Kat... will go back againMore

If you find yourself in the Whitefield or Lancaster area of the North Woods, and are looking for a place to eat, then SERIOUSLY consider Grandma's Kitchen. No fancy dining here, but the food is delicious and classic Americana. They don't open until 11am, but...they serve breakfast all day. My wife had two fried eggs and homemade cinnamon raising toast that was fabulous, and i had meatloaf wrapped in bacon with rice pilaf and a salad. All was delicious. This is a gem in the rough, dont miss it. Staff was very prompt and attentive. Pricing was great, cheapest meal all week in the area.More

Very easy to find along the road with a huge place to park your car. You cannot make reservations so the rule is simple: first in first served. And let me tell you it is quickly crowded! But by all means the good food is...worth waiting for. Nothing sophisticated, basic and simple but good country homemade food with tasty mash potatoes, crunchy chicken, ... Both for adults and kids. No alcohol in this place. Very reasonable prices. Happy to have found this place in the middle of the countryside!More
