Hot Chocolate, good food, great views. What's not to like? Perfect to take a quick hot chocolate break and warm up from Skiing. It's even better when you take a break and get some sun when spring skiing. Love this place.

Top notch food, best mac and cheese we have ever had. The pulled pork sandwich is to die for. The service staff is very friendly and always smiling no matter how long the line is.

Located at the top of the Mountain at Waterville Valley. Great place to relax and get warm. Located off the main chair lift.

The Schwendi continues to be our favorite ski lodge. The views are great on a clear day. The baked goods are very tasty. You must try the cinnamon bun. The entries are usually very good and much more interesting than standard ski lodge food. The down side of this lodge is that it is small so time your visits to... More

For lunch I had a breakfast "sandwich" at the warming hut - egg, bacon and cheese on a large English muffin - fresh cooked and a great snack! Considering all the food has to come up by chairlift or snow cat I think their prices are good!

...With freshly whipped cream is something I will never forget. The ambience makes men feel like I'm in a lodge in the alps, an experience you don't get anywhere else on the east coast. Only down side is it gets busy, be prepared to schlep downstairs as there's not many tables on the top floor. They give you a tray... More

This is the only place where we have meals or get drinks when skiing at Waterville Valley. We live here. The soup is great and the meals are a step above the usual fare at ski resorts. Good desserts too. I hope the folks that ran it last year return.

Ever been skiing at the top of the mountain with your toes and fingers numb. This is when you hate the idea of getting back to a base lodge to warm up. The Schwendi Hutte provides not only warmth, but ambience, fresh GOOD food and reasonable prices - along with great deck views when the temperatures moderate. Makes me think... More

Decided to eat lunch at the top of the mountain for fun. Had brought sandwiches and just planned on buying drinks, etc. Were surprised to walk in and find an assortment of from scratch foods like mac & cheese, lobster bisque, pulled pork, roasted beet salad. It all looked delicious but since we already had our sandwiches all we tried... More

If you ski at Waterville valley do not miss this restaurant to warm up, have amazing comfort food like hearty Mac and cheese with bacon or chicken, Korean pulled pork sandwiches, chili, great hot coffee, hot cocoa with real whipped cream and phenomenal cinnamon rolls, beer if you wish. Once the capillaries perfuse your fingertips and toes at the warming... More
