My 3rd visit to “THD” and it was as yummy as the 1st and 2nd. Instead of the local fare, I tried the mussels: fresh, delicious, cooked and seasoned right. The grilled asparagus was the tastiest I’ve ever had w/parm and a sauce. And the strawberry shortcake....as it should be w/sweet, succulent local berries. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The price is not cheap, but we’re talking quality, organic, supporting working farmers/families and most importantly: nurturing tastebuds w/ food that a body loves.

My wife and I were in the neighborhood Christmas shopping at the tractor supply. After that we found the HungreyDiner and stopped in for a burger and fries. As we enter the staff greeted us and explain all the foods that are on the menu which are from the local farms and bakers. We were impressed and placed our order. I order the hamburger, and I gotta tell you, it was the best burger I had in a long long time. Reminded me of the fifties when I was younger. The roll was fresh as the fries, I can say everything was excellent and I washed it all done with a root beer. Also when your having your meal just take a look at the wood work, the old beams, the seats, the tables, all the work is beautifully done. All I can say is its a must stop when in the area. 😉

Have loved this place since we first learned of it, and have brought several family members over the last couple of years. You can’t beat the burgers and they’re very creative with their specials. Friendly service and a great beer selection, too. My only criticism has to do with the fish tacos. They’re perfectly cooked and the serving is generous, but they need a flavor boost. I’ve tried them twice, thinking the first time was an aberration. Nope. Add something, please, to bring them up to par with the rest of the menu.

The Hamburg was so greasy it soaked the bun, the burgers were fat not flat so hard to pick up and eat without wearing it, like meatballs. Beef was dripping with grease. The fries were okay, well done, crunchy like potato chips. The fries were 1-2" average in size. I tried this place but won't be back. They also charge a living fee for their employees so the owner can offer them insurance and other benefits. Never heard of that here in NH. I know in some Western States they charge an unemployment tax for those without a job.

I really like the hungry diner. They are incredibly nice and seem to genuinely care about the customer's experience. However, I was there for Mother's day dinner and I was sadly very disappointed. They were incredibly busy and still quite nice, however, the food was not worth the expensive price at all. Two of us had the burger and we both noticed that the burger patty was quite small. We ended up with half a roll left where the burger did not cover the role size, and the role was not that big. For $17 we would have expected more burger in the burger. In addition, the burger was overcooked. We were also given fries that were all bits, none of them longer than a quarter-inch and smaller. Our other guest had the fish sandwich and felt it was good but also rather small given the $16 price. Hope and Olive in Greenfield MA have an amazing burger that is $15.50 and the value is truly excellent. The burger feels robust and worth it. The worst yet was a small twist for dessert which cost $4.50 not including tax and was so incredibly small that it was genuinely insulting. I have never seen a twist so thin. While we are happy to pay what they feel is fair however if you charge that much, the customer must walk away feeling it is worth the cost and also satiated. Giving fries that are only all bits is frustrating. The atmosphere is great, and they are very friendly, but sadly, for us that night the value was severely lacking.

We were directed here by our B&B hosts after a long day of driving, You place an order for food/drinks at the counter, pay, and the meal is delivered to your table, either a picnic bench outside or a casual table indoors. The food is described as "farm-to-table" and t is a mix of comfort food, old favorites and a few more creative dishes. it's all terrific, as well as the extensive beer list. Most of the dishes are fried or include fried foods and taste great, though, maybe not meals you should be eating on a nightly basis. Definitely worth a dietary splurge.

We arrived at opening time and there was already a long line (on a Wednesday night) waiting to enter. We both ordered the Korean BBQ pork tacos, but took the bowl option. The pork was delicious with a very tasty sauce, kimchi was fresh and mildly spicy, carrot salad with a touch of rice vinegar, and jasmine rice cooked to perfection. Long wine and draft beer list. We were given a number, took our drinks to an outside table to listen to the live music, and food soon arrived. Staff was courteous and upbeat. Now we understand the line. It isn't inexpensive, but well worth the price. We'll be back.

Great food and kind people! The prices are a little high but the food is locally sourced and delicious! Tips- make sure people have utensils to eat with and also please consider making homemade blue cheese dressing for your wings. We love chicken wings in our family and ranch just doesn’t cut it (yours is tasty though! but more for a salad for us!) . We appreciate the effort that goes into your homemade food and the condiments/pickles you offer are awesome! Please just consider adding a good homemade blue cheese , too! :)

We were recommended here by our Airbnb host after a very long day and looking for a nice meal. The Hungry Diner is clearly the place to go because it was very busy but no staff looked or acted stressed out. The food is all locally grown or sourced. The portions were quite adequate and incredibly delicious. Hubby had The Chippy (fish and chips). The two pieces of fish were very large, it came with fries and a grilled lemon for taste. I had the Hungry Burger. I didn’t realize until I bit into it that it’s two pattie’s! Mine came with fries as well. There’s a nice selection of local beers and wines to pick from or a few non-alcoholic choices as well (the strawberry lemonade was very good).

I decided to stop in for dinner for the first time. It was my two children and myself. One of them is 6 and ate from the children's menu. I just saw the charge on my account $77.30!! That reminded me to stop in and leave feedback. At that price you will not survive in your market. The prices of the meals were difficult enough to swallow before I was hit with a "living wage" tax which I'm not sure is even legal. When you charge your customers a premium for average or less than memorable food, you need to pay your staff, not me. Needless to say I won't be back. I can tell that the owner or management has no formal training. At least no restaurant training in the price bracket that you're trying to survive in. If I want the McDonalds experience, I'll go pay McDonalds prices. At McDonalds I'll get paper cups but they'll be clean and that's more important in my opinion.

We decided to try this one evening as we live loca. We ordered and sat outside. The wait staff brought our food to us once it was ready. The staff we encountered was all pleasant. Overall the menu did not inspire me to want to come back to try other items. My friend order a chicken sandwich of some type and it was over cooked to the point the meat was hard. My choice of fish tacos were ok... Overall for the price, the selection and the quality of the prep I would give this a miss

The burger was fabulous, juicy and flavorful. The fish and chips was over battered and bland although the fish was moist and the grilled asparagus was yummy but cold and way overpriced at 9 dollars. Service was excellent but it did take almost an hour to get our food. The restaurant was crowed but with outdoor dinning it didn’t feel crowded. All in all the food was great but way overpriced

He said burger was delicious, lots of meat and fries were good. Fish taco, I didn’t like. Fried fish, weepy coleslaw, not much flavor. Couldn’t’t pick up taco it was so wet from the slaw. Needs mucho improvement.

This place is a bit odd. You order at a bar counter, then you choose where you want to sit. They bring the food to you. For a hybrid fast food/restaurant I felt the prices were kinda steep. It was $100 for 3 adults and one child. We got chicken wings (ok, not very crispy), a burger and fries, a kids burger and fries, and mac n cheese with chicken on top, and two sodas. The food was all just ok, nothing great. For the price I would go elsewhere next time.

We stopped for lunch on our way to Hardwick, VT from CT. We love this place, just a short drive from I-91 over the river into NH. The local craft beer list is extensive. They also have wine and cocktails. The food is locally sourced from local farms. We are glad we stumbled upon this place and will keep it in mind when we make this drive
