Every year the Anchorage seems to get worse! The hostesses (2) were border-line surly. Hardly anyone there at noon, but we were told we'd have to wait, even though only one booth was occupied! Lobster rolls are now $24.00 up from $23 last year. The wait staff is remarkably untrained and the sandwiches we had were sloppily prepared. It's a... More

Tables by the window have fun view of boats going in and out. Food was just OK - price too high for what you get, but choices are limited for restaurants in this area.

Stopped for a beer and sandwich on a Saturday noon. Opens at 11:30 am. Service was first rate...good selection of tap beers. Had a Rubben sandwich that I thought was just average..thin bread and the rest. Used to getting a beefier rubben. Right on the harbor so you see lots of boats coming and going. Usually a wait to be... More

Very charming outdoor dining with views of the harbor, general store and more...great beer selection and the wine wasn't bad either. Service was good, but the food was mediocre at best. My wifes baked potato was microwaved - but my pot roast was good...

Food was a little above average but the drinks were delicious and the views were awesome from the back patio. It sits right on the lake and is right on the docks so you can see all of the boating traffic. We got the bbq pork spring rolls which were tasty and I got the beer battered fish and chips... More

We have not been to the Anchorage for several years. They have changed hands since we were last there. I was my daughters birthday, and her children and I made a commitment that she would not be cooking any meals on her birthday and that we would go out and be waited on for all meals on her day. We... A nice casual dining place...good food and good service. Friendly atmosphere. Eating out on the back deck is the best...

Spectacular harbor views. The food here is very good but the ambiance sitting outdoors overlooking Sunapee Harbor would make any dish taste better

We wanted to have a drink around 4:30 in the afternoon and we went to the Anchorage Inn for a cocktail and a glass of wine. The bar area was full but they wouldn't let us sit outside (a lot of tables were empty) because they were reserved for dinners only. The staff was probably overworked but they were not... More

The Anchorage is a great place for casual dining and drinks. They have indoor as well as outdoor dining overlooking Sunapee Harbor. The food is great, and the wait staff is very friendly and accommodating.
