The best breakfast we have experienced in Salem. Local favorites, and seasonal specialties! Try the sweet potato pancakes!

I've been going to Maddie's for years. The service is awesome, very friendly and accommodating. The food is good quality food with large portions. If you are hungry, be prepared to wait. The line moves fast and Maddie's gives you coffee while you wait for your table. They do not serve lunch on Sundays. Breakfast til 2pm.

Always busy. Waiting line moves quickly; and, you can have coffee while you wait. Bagels and baked goods are excellent. I enjoy going there for both breakfast or lunch.

Very busy so had to wait, but given a coffee mug and can get own coffee refills while waiting. Various flavours of coffee to choose from, so actually enjoyed drinking coffee and chatting while waited for a table. Lots of choice on the menu so gave us time to decide what to have. Food was great. Really enjoyed their eggs... More

Called in for breakfast which was good. Service was also good and staff friendly. We had a fairly long wait to be seated (although you are given a coffee cup which you can refill at leisure) to help with the wait. Wait for food was short but you get the feeling being rushed so that others waiting can be seated.

Stopped in here while shopping with friends. Cute place and very friendly staff. I had a tuna sandwich and fries. It was very good. Service was quick for lunchtime. Will definitely stop by again.

We chose Maddie's because our granddaughter's name is Maddie and being #1 in Salem didn't hurt either. Lol. The sandwiches were prepared very quickly even thought the place was packed. I had the pastrami, it was the best pastrami sandwich I've had outside of NYC. The onion rings are huge and sweet and are almost a meal in themselves. We... More

The girls are very nice but you feel rushed to order and eat the meal. Also they won't seat you unless the whole party is there. Food is average.

They serve lunch as well but haven't been there yet for that. Was recommended by a friend. A nice touch was having 10+ different coffee types available to drink while waiting to be seated. The only downside was all of the coffees were light/medium roast and nothing was a dark roast. Prices were very reasonable, staff was very friendly an... More

1st time here. Was recommended by my daughter. It is a small restaurant but clean and well appointed. Staff was very attentive. Seated us and got us coffee right away. Lots of choices on the menu. I ordered the Southwestern omelet and it was served with a small bowl of fruit and toast with real butter on the side at... More
