My son and I stopped after a long (and very hot) day at Jenness Beach. It was a little bit of a challenge for me to find, since I don't know the area at all. But, the GPS brought me right to the doorstep :). So worth it! My son said he was going to be adventurous, and ordered the... More

Hard to beat this place for simple New England food in a classic roadside setting. Not at all fancy, but if you are looking for a basic meal, including seafood, this is a good place. If you are looking for linen tablecloths and fine wine, go down the road to Wentworth By The Sea.

The ice cream was fabulous! I wanted to try the clam bellies which looked great at the take out window. Maybe next year on the clams!

While The Ice House has a full menu, we just stopped here for ice cream. There was a big selection of flavors and it was fairly reasonable for the portions. The best flavor we sampled was the peanut butter Oreo but no one in our party was disappointed.

You can get a meal too! We took advantage of their ice cream offerings and enjoyed every bit. You can sit inside or order outside and sit at tables around the parking lot

We always look forward to Ice House opening day! The food is always excellent- and it's consistent. We never have to worry we will spend our hard earned money on a mediocre meal. There are so many choices and everything is made with equal quality care. Just a great overall place to go!

We have stopped here for lunch several times and for ice cream more than several times. Food is typical take out beach fare well prepared. Good selection of menu items to choose from. Ice cream is consistently good. Very busy place on weekends but the line moves fairly quickly. Picnic tables behind the place offers plenty of seating. Not far... More

The Ice House has been another big favorite seafood restaurant in my family. That's because my Grandma Willis (Who lives in Portsmouth, NH only short distance away from Rye) has always enjoyed eating there every time that she's has visited. I too have enjoyed eating there as well because the fried clam strips have blown me away. Of course, I... More
