Went for lunch on Saturday October 5. Time was about 12:30. Was seated right away. Waitress came right over and took our order. I only ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder. It's suppose to be the best around. When it arrived at the table, my...girlfriend ask if we could have some bread. Waitress said she would be right back with it. After she left I took a bite of my soup it was lukewarm. I waited till she came back with bread which turned into a 5 minute wait. Told her chowder was not hot enough and please heat up. She took it and was back in 30 seconds said this should be hot enough. It was the same bowl and colder than before. She didn't even wait to find out if it was ok. It was not I pushed it over to the edge of table. By then, I had no more interest in eating anything. She never once came back to check see if all was ok. Never asked my friend if her food was ok. Very unhappy. Then heading out the door 4 or 5 people that work there were gathered in the doorway just talking and we had to wait to get by them.More

We are locals and eat at Smokey’s Tavern (downstairs) almost once a week. Granite Steak & Grill is comfortable, quiet atmosphere and the same great food as Smokey’s. We enjoy the informality of Smokey’s, which offers seating in the main tavern room (nice & dark),...the outdoor seating during Covid-19, the patio and the extension of the tavern, a genial room also often used for parties and meetings. And, of course the deep red walls, the great photos and signs, along with an ever-growing collection of badges, add to the ambience. The drinks, by the way, are very generously poured. Enough said. We have had most of the items on the menu over time, from the salads (Strawberry Spinach Salad with raspberry vinaigrette is my fav), and appetizers (Nachos with pulled pork is worth fighting over) to the main meals, which are plentiful and varied. Seafood? Yes! Steaks? Yes! Chicken? Indeed! Pasta? Of course! Comfort Food? A-yuh! You know how some restaurants specialize in certain food, for example, steak, and the rest of the menu is pretty thin? Not here! There is something scrumptious under every category, including the fresh new cheesecake every day. The staff are super attentive without being in the way, and the owner and manager are very visible - checking at each table to see how the meals are (and we’ve seen them bus the tables or rearrange tables when needed.) Nothing interrupts the flow. Let’s see, its about 11:15 AM as I write this, I don’t see anything magical in the fridge and they open in 15 minutes. I think I know where we’re headed! There’s also take-out if I don’t want to change out of my PJ’s. Say hi to Patrick when you see him. His hard work and dedication have made GS&G the success that it is today.More

Had lunch here on Friday with a friend. Second time visiting for me. I really like the atmosphere here and it's casual and cozy. The menu has several selections of appetizers and entres. The mozzarella wedges were delicious and there are 2 sizes. We both...ordered prime rib with salads and a side. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and it you can select what size you want. It melts in your mouth, so bring a healthy appetite. The white zinfandel was very good also. I plan on coming back and have told my friends about the restaurant. It's a great place for either a casual or a special occasion. The service was also very good.More

One of the best meals we have had in a long time. We eat out often but during this time when restaurants are struggling, we try to help by using curb side when we can. Tonight we chose Granite Steak House. Yes, we visit here...occasionally and always have a great meal, but tonight's meals were worth commenting on. First off, the staff is cheerful and the food was ready and hot when we arrived at the time they specified when ordered. The Prime Rib melts in your mouth, is cooked to perfection and nothing was left on the plate. The Rack Of Ribs was falling off the bone good as were all the sides. We also when with the Bang Bang Shrimp as an appetizer which was also so amazingly good. Plus the salad was fresh and bread and corn bread were warm and delicious. Definately a great job by the cooks and wait staff. Thanks for stepping up and offering such great meals and service.More

This is our favorite restaurant to go to in Rochester. The food is always delicious and the staff is friendly and efficient! Great restaurant for families or date night..and if it’s adult only then downstairs at Smokey’s is the place to go! We love it!

The food is awesome and the servers are great... I had the steak tips tonight and they were outstanding. I got a wedge salad on the side and the lettuce was crisp and lots of bacon and they have a really good house blue cheese...dressing. My wife ordered a fresh cut fries with Parmesan and the clam chowder. Simple but delicious. Stacy was our waitress She was very friendly made the evening fun for us and we will look for her in our next visitMore

They have a decent variety of Gluten free items (other then just steak and salad). Kinda disappointed their rice isn't Gf. The temps are almost always perfect. The only time it wasn't they were very fast at fixing it. They were also very accommodating in...bringing out our daughter's meal first .More

Yes, they will use a wing off the main dining area for your group. They also have a pub downstairs which space might be available for such a group.
