We sat outside, ordered up our lunch inside and were part of the scene along the main drag in Portsmouth. Very good food, well presented and a fun place to experience.

We came here for an impromptu breakfast while in Portsmouth. It had good reviews, and we wanted a good local breakfast. I had the smoked salmon omelette and my fiancee had a popover. Much enjoyed, very recommended.

Breakfast or lunch - both are great options. Casual dining, nice staff, seating in and outside (limited outside seating). Tip: Even if you eat somewhere else have your dessert here!

Best desserts hands down. A few gluten free options. Delicious three layered mousse. Lattes, espressos, etc...almond milk option along with various leaf tea choices. Love this place!

Several locals told us we had to try pastry or popovers at this establishment. We stopped for dessert and were not disappointed. The popovers with the sweetened butter are just heavenly. The cookies we purchased to take back to the hotel were also wonderful.

I'll take a local spot over a chain anyday. Popovers has a great menu with simple sandwiches, soups and salads as well as a ton of sweet treats and pastries - and of course the signature popover. Good wifi and lots of seating (indoor/outdoor)

We took the popover filled with lobster. They were light and perfect. A little pricey but for the quality is ok. The panini trio was excellent. The clam soup was wonderful. So delicious that my daughter wanted to share it with me. I recommend this restaurant/bistro.
