Very disappointing food was just ok for 30.00 for an entree you dont get much food and our beef entree was nothing special in fact we went out to eat afterward! Service was poor as well two waitresses were working and one hostess we were seated in a corner which was private but we were basically ignored we had to... More

Not a vegetarian by any means but decided to go meat free this evening. And I was well rewarded. An interesting chilled pea and kale soup, slightly overwhelmed by a vinegar soaked garnish. Salad leaves with salty cheese and hazelnuts but the nuts needed toasting and the leaves needed a mild sweet dressing to counterbalance the salt. An imaginative beet... More

was very excited to try this top rated restaurant on our trip to portsmouth. it was a bust. had a pork belly appetizer - there was no pork, just belly. as in there was no meat, it was all fat. the top sirloin was delicious, although overcooked to how we ordered. the best was the quail large plate. overall, the... It is apparent that a great deal of thought, care and work went into this restaurant. The owners, Evan and Denise Mallet, chose one of the older structures in Portsmith's historic district, a building that was once, what I believe to have been, a ships Chancery. In any event, at two stories, it was for a very brief time the highest... More

Ate here on a Tuesday evening and had the place mostly to ourselves, which was strange considering the quality of the experience. The main floor restaurant (we did not visit the wine bar upstairs) has a simple, yet sophisticated feel, with tables nicely spaced. I began with the almond and green olives sautéed in garlic oil that was a perfect... More

This place was so cozy with a fun atmosphere, great service and outstanding food. The food is creative so the menu is not for everyone but we could have eaten many dishes

This restaurant is housed in an old warehouse and features giant wooden beams exposed brickwork. The menu and winelist ahould be enough to satisfy most tastes, My husband had the local fish while I had the scallops with fiddle-heads & ramps. Both were well cooked and tasted delicious. We had a bottle of Loire valley Sav Blanc with the meal... More

We had a really wonderful meal here! The pork belly gnocchi was so good I literally wanted to pick up the plate and lick it. The skin on my crispy duck breast was sublime, just the right amount of crispness. We went on the early side and it was pretty low-key, then it filled up as the evening went on.... More

This was my fifth visit over the last four years. Each visit has simply blown me away. The food, the atmosphere, the service...it doesn't get much better than this! We started with a cheese plate featuring Taleggio and ____. I simply adore the pickled vegetables with the sweet preserves and house-made mustard. It definitely gets your palette ready for a...
