This was the best restaurant we ate at during a 2 week vacation in New England. The location in downtown Portsmouth was great. The design and ambience was excellent as was the servers. Would recommend the lamb chops and the lobster pie - both excellent....More

This is a fairly upscale place. The atmosphere is nice with tables in smaller rooms with the ex library feel providing a more intimate feel. The food is very good, the wine list more than adequate and the service is responsive and professional.

Fantastic Fillet Mignon and other steaks. Wonderful service. Beautiful stately environment. Reasonable prices. Convivial atmosphere. It'll knock your socks off!

Amazing atmosphere as you’re in the winter home of Portsmouth history maker Frank Jones and the restaurant shows off the architectual details. The steaks and accompaniments were amazing and similar to a Ruth Crist, Del Fresco or Morton’s. Lovely gem in the heart of Portsmouth.

Atmosphere very nice. Food very disappointing. My wife’s mussels were not good. I ordered “ classic Ceaser Salad” thinking I would get one tossed at the table, was not, Anchovies were the best protein anyone got.

We were a party of four on a Friday night at 1930 hours. We were seated quickly and the service was friendly. The wine list is not too exotic. The steaks were the star of the meal. I recommend the lower price-points for greater satisfaction....More

This restaurant is part of a grand old mansion and has become a longtime local favorite restaurant. This restaurant is great for business meetings and for romantic dinners. This has a great bar enjoyed by all.

I've been here a number of times and one thing I can say they're are consistent - the food, the staff, the service - everything is on point. My go to meal here is always a steak, as they are easily the best traditional steak...More

We closed for lunch approximately 2 months ago. We are happy to open during the day for larger parties, but will only be serving our dinner menu, or our event menu. Please don't hesitate to email us:)

The Worth parking lot, about two blocks away is your best bet. During the summer, however, even it is often full.
