My wife and I came here after my TA research. We came on a Friday night and made reservations. After reviewing this place I reserved the beef wellington which is only served on Friday night on a first come first reserved basis. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated immediately as there were only 4 or so tables seated... More

All six of us tried different entries and loved every bite. Sit at the bar if you like to chat with locals. The wait staff were professional, knowledgeable and super friendly. We will return!

We found this amazing restaurant only a few months ago and are so glad we did! The atmosphere is serene, the food prepared to perfection, and the service personal. It's so worth the hour drive we have to make, knowing our evening will be absolutely enjoyable!

This was not our first visit to this very fine intimate restaurant in downtown Portsmouth. It is a short walk from Strawbery Banke which we visited in the afternoon (very worth while). The menu is limited but varied. The service is impeccable and the food presentation and taste was superb.

Rarely do I gush about a restaurant, but I will make an exception in this case. What wonderful food! We started by sharing the Crab Cake. And a beautiful thing it was. No mealy concoction, more breading than crab, this was the real deal and the accompanying basil aioli landed it in the mouth watering category. On to the entrees.... More

The restaurant is small, service is wonderful and the food is excellent. We had a window table, as requested, and the view was great. The mussel appetizers were very generous and we could have shared but they were so good we were happy we didn't have to.The crab stuffed haddock and short ribs were very good. We ordered a pinot... I don't write reviews often, but I just had to... our dinner experience last night was phenomenal!! Kelly and Gary were so kind to adjust the tables in the dining room so we could have 11 instead of 8 in our party. They were so welcoming to our party, even our children (ages 10-13). We had beautiful views of the... More

This was our 2nd visit to this restaurant and we were so disappointed. Our first visit was almost exactly a year ago (we were celebrateing our anniversary) we had great cocktails, appetizers and the most delicious haddock (one of the best haddocks I've ever had), service was great and the ambiance was cozy and romantic. Sounds great, right? Well, we... More

The reservation were request via email and I was confirmed by phone in less than 30 minutes. We were seated by a wide window over looking the river over looking tug boats below. We were delighted to visit the Wellington room and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and exquisite food. We ordered our usual favorites and a few surprises that sounded interesting. After receiving the meal, we asked to see the menu again. The combinations were so creative and beautifully complemented, we could not remember what the flavor a and sauces... More
