Found this place by accident and glad I did. Intimate dining, gracious host, wonderful service and delicious food. We arrived 10 mins early and before they opened on Saturday. Getting there early was not a problem. Kelly warmly welcomed us, showed us to our table,...More

Two of us visited the Wellington this past weekend. A small cozy restaurant-seats roughly 30, but big on quality and customer care. We were early and sat at the two stool bar. We had one of their specialty cocktails and it was great. Promptly seated...More

A first visit was met by food mediocrity and unappreciative service. I travel to Portsmouth often and like to change up my dining patterns so felt compelled to give the Wellington Room another try. Unfortunately, the food failed miserably. It was so poorly prepared (overcooked,...More

We had high hopes but were sadly disappointed. We are frequent and seasoned diners in the Portsmouth NH dining scene. The Wellington Room has a history of being a fine dining establishment and their prices reflect it. The positive includes a cozy dining room overlooking...More

Tucked away on an upper floor on Bow Street is one of THE BEST restaurants in Portsmouth! Despite the small space, this place has fantastic signature cocktails, absolutely delish food, and the most wonderful staff. We ended up being the only diners left by the...More

The Wellington Room is upstairs in a historic building over looking Portsmouth harbor. The food is excellent. Prices are on the high end, but worth every penny! Reservations recommended. Ask for a table by the window.
