Always remember this brewery as one of the first in the region to take beer seriously. It's now burgeoning. The food is just OK.

First time in Portsmouth. This place was recommended by UNH student. The ploughmans plate appetizer was awesome. The beer selection was nice. I had a pastrami sandwich which was extremely fatty. Pretty disappointing actually. After I took out the fatty pieces there was not much pastrami left. Our server was pretty bad. I asked for a second beer which didn't... More

We stopped in for apps and beer, expecting typical 'bar food'. What we got was freshly prepared chicken tenders with just a hint of crust, an AWESOME hot mustard for dipping, and a hand crafted cheese spread with hand-made toasts. The beers we tasted were excellent, all chosen with the guidance of our server David. We cannot say enough good... More

We are so glad we stopped by this place! We shared an order of mussels. I still think of that sauce...so yummy! It came with bread, we dipped and scraped up every last drop. The mussels were tender and perfectly cooked. The bartender was amazing! She made us a beer cocktail with beer, lemonade and a shot of vodka! It... More

We stopped for a snack while shopping and we enjoyed our stay. We sat on the patio and enjoy a good beer and the devil eggs. The beer was cold and the eggs were tasty. The rating is very good instead of excellent, due to the fact that the patio is at the back of the restaurant and does not... More

A trip to Portsmouth is never complete without having at least one meal and a flight of beer at this lively restaurant! The food is really good.. I tried the curry mussels and they were delish! And you can not go wrong when ordering the pastrami sandwich. Even the kids loved the calamari.

We were wandering downtown and decided to have dinner. We were seated promptly. The place was busy and we often had to wait to find our server, but that's understandable with so many tables to handle. The menu is offers a wide range of choices in food and drink. The beer was great. I had the tamari and ginger tofu... More
