best Thai food !!

This was probably the best Thai food we've ever had. Very flavorful, abundant portions..reasonable prices...We loved it. It was takeout only due to the Covid...but when we picked up the order the restaurant looked very nice and we would like to dine in sometime in the future.Food was a little spicy so be careful how ot you want it..but definitely recommend this restaurant

Fantastic meal!

This was our first visit, and already can not wait to go back! They have an extensive menu, and so many things sounded wonderful. We ended up choosing Kra Tong Thong & scallion pancake for apps, and curry duck (which they kindly allowed me to have with crispy duck rather than roasted) & red curry with duck. Everything was absolutely amazing! We had a fried bananas dessert that was excellent as well.

Delicious food, excellent service, elegant ambience

We had dinner here last night and loved it! We ordered Drunken Noodle with shrimp, Deluxe Pad Thai (comes with fried tofu, shrimp, and chicken), and Stir Fry with beef and broccoli. The generous portions were beautifully presented and tasty. The room is tastefully decorated with nice lighting. The music was at the correct volume - soft enough for easy conversation. All in all, a great experience!

Below average Thai food here, at least with the take out. Why do you overcook chicken? Dry and tasteless.

Did not visit but had take out. Very pricy and not very good. Chicken was over cooked in the broccoli dish and there was very little sauce. Duck dish was full of skin and fatty pieces…and over cooked. Top prices for this? Poor attention to detail and very a very bad chef in this kitchen. Avoid!

Food was not freshly prepared, but reheated instead

Our first in this restaurant, the waitress was professional and very pleasant, we have no complaints about that. We ordered their spring rolls for appetizer, hot in the outside, still frozen inside. We also the Spicy Crispy Chicken Cashew Nut, this meal was not even warm when it came out of the kitchen, endless to say it was not crispy; We sent it back and came back a little warmer but it was still not crispy, you can clearly tell they just put it back in the microwave a few more minutes. We regret not having sent it back again, then pay for the drinks and rolls and leave the place. It is also very pricey for what you get. Try a different restaurant in Portsmouth if you can, this one is not worthy.

Wonderful tastes, great food

We stopped in on a cold afternoon for lunch and we were not expecting such a wonderful meal. I had a Tom Kha soup which was perfect balance of flavors, while the rest of the family had chicken dumplings and satay which were both excellent. Two more soups including an excellent Duck noodle Soup which was full of flavor. I had the pineapple fried rice and again didn’t expect such a great taste. It was difficult to finish the whole plate (generous servings) but I managed because it was so good. Next time I’m in town I’m not looking for another place… this is it

Glad we went!

My husband and I went to 5Thai after a long drive and it was a great end to the day! We did not have a reservation, which I didn’t know we needed, but they made room for us any way. We had the spring rolls which were good. I ordered the Red Curry with vegetables and my husband ordered the BBQ Pork and sticky rice. Both were delicious and very generous servings! If we lived here we would definitely return to 5 Thai Bistro.

Disappointing

The dishes on the menu looked great and we were excited about trying a new one for us: spicy crispy chicken cashew nut. If we hadn’t been so hungry we would have sent it back. It was evident it was re-heated. The meat was very tough and lukewarm at best. It should have come out piping hot and moist. The pineapple fried rice was tasty- meat was tender. Not sure that we would come back again.

Excellent thai food!

We love thai food and were lucky enough to visit this great country. The food served at the 5 Thai tasted like back in Thailand. I had the green papaya salad with shrimps and my husband a green curry with coconut milk. Each of us received a different rice that complemented our dish the best. Everything was so tasty! We'd love it if they could open a restaurant in Montreal, we'd eat there often!

A delight delicious find in Portsmouth, NH!

Absolutely superb! The food was excellent from presentation to taste . . . We had the Crispy Duck Green Curry & Pad Thai . . . . To date the best I have eaten in a Thai restaurant not only in the USA, but UK, Australia, & South Africa too! For a lovely change the vegetables were fresh & not over cooked in the dishes, nothing like a little crunch & colour for appeal. The staff were extremely efficient & with safety in mind with wearing masks too, a plus for these time, especially when traveling.

Best. Thai. Food. EVER

We’ve eaten a fair amount of Thai food and this is hands down the best we’ve ever had. Never expected to find it in NH but WOW. Excellent blend of flavors, great mix of vegetables and proteins. Not at all oily or greasy. Accurate spiciness scale. Must eat, we’ll be back for sure. We had the drunken noodles, pad Thai, spring rolls, Thai ice tea and Thai coffee, and mango with sticky rice. All of it was FABULOUS. I wish I could eat here every day.

Amazing and a must try!

This was our first time but won’t be our last. This was by far one of the best experience we have had with regards to quality of service and food. My husband is in the restaurant business so I’ll be honest we can be quite critical at times. This place had a great atmosphere, extremely friendly and respectful staff and the food was amazing! I mean amazing! Food was fresh, environment clean and with the staffing issues everywhere this place has a doing something right because their staff was an absolute pleasure! This is a must do again!

Great dining experience!

My wife and I had a lovely meal here — we started with the tofu vegetable soup — very tasty and followed that with a yellow curry and a basil-vegetable stir fry, both with chicken, plus brown rice. These entrees were moderately spicy and delightful for the palate. The ambiance is very nice and the wait staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Disappointed in service and food quality.

So disappointed. Undercooked and cold chicken satay. Customer for over ten years who always enjoyed an excellent meal. arrived tonight at 8:35 and was turned away for dinner. Closing time at 9:00. So ordered 2 orders of chicken satay and fresh rolls to go. Received order after about twenty minutes and went to my car to eat it and the chicken satay was inedible… cold and marginally undercooked. Had no taste. I went back to restaurant and reported this to the hostess. She did the right thing by offering me new order but I had to drive an hour to get home so I asked for my money back for the chicken. Obviously the order was cooked hurriedly and then sat there for too long and got cold. I don’t know if I will return.

Rivals London Thai Across the Pond

Absolutely delicious food , beautiful area and easy parking. Crispy Duck, Crab Rangoon and Massaman Curry - We love Crispy Duck but rarely find a place in the US that prepares it like our favorite place in London. This place NAILED IT LOVED IT
