I had a nice veggie omelette and some great IPA. The waiter was top notch and simply put I would go back. Makes no sense to bad mouth a place for cost...Portsmouth is expensive and we'll know for its good food. In fact this waiter pointed that there are over 50 good restaurants in the city. My only complaint is... More

We came here for restaurant week in the winter and had a great experience. The daily specials are done well. However, the prices are too high regularly for what you get. We came again this summer on week night when there were not many people. The service was ok, but the food was not. A $17 burger should not taste... More

A group of 8 of us went for dinner based on a friend's recommendation. It was a huge disappointment (for all of us - you'd have thought with 8 people something would have been good). Service was slow (and we went early so the place was near empty when we arrived; filled up later). The appetizers (crab cakes, flatbread, gnocchi... More

A party of 6 went for brunch on a summer Sunday. There was a 20 minute wait, not because the place was full, but because "the kitchen needed time to catch up". It is in a central spot, and they allow pets outside. Our server wasn't terrible, but she wasn't wonderful either. As I mentioned they weren't very busy and... More

Very expensive for what you get. Bowl of rice 12.00 and if you add chicken you pay an additional 12.00!!! So 24.00 for a bowl of chicken and rice!! Tacos were very good (steak and fish) Grilled ceased salad- 12.00 for 2 full heads of lettuce with 2 slices of bacon and dressing drizzled on top.. Sangria was 9.00 a... More

We love The District because we can bring our boxer Lucy and enjoy a nice meal in their sidewalk cafe area. We have been twice and never been inside. There have always been several other diners with dogs when we were there and the staff is extremely attentive. I had the grilled romaine salad and added sliced steak to it... More

Love downtown Portsmouth, I'm glad that there are places to eat where u can bring ur dog. Nice outdoor area and amazing staff! They even gave our dog a bowl of water. Food was great too, I love their french fries! A bit pricey but location was great! Definitely going back!

Dog friendly pub that accommodated us in a non-dog area. Nice beers and good choice of them and wine at reasonable prices.

We just randomly picked the District because we wanted to eat lunch outside, and they had tables fully shaded on this hot day. A great choice! We had the veggie omelette, the "cure", and the Belgian waffles. Everything tasted delicious, our hostess and server were great. Definitely a good choice!

Do not bother!! While the food sounds amazing on paper it dosent even come close to being worth the money. The service was absolutely horrible! It took us 10 minutes to have a hostess acknowledge us to even seat us. Then it took 15 minutes just to get water on our table. I got the taco trio and the shells... More
