The atmosphere here is a true diner feel, charming. We saw this was rated high so wanted to try it. All our meals were very good; mac n cheese, pot pie and muddy pie. Muddy pie is like shepherds pie except pulled pork for the meat. We didn't have room for dessert. We went back the next night and got... More

The atmosphere of The Roundabout is truly that of a great diner. Music from the 50s and 60s plays and adds to the ambience. I had New England clam chowder that was served with home made, nicely seasoned, crunchy croutons. The chowder was rich, hearty and yummy! The picture is accurate in that it was so thick that the spoon... More

We stayed at the hotel next to the restaurant last weekend. We had breakfast here on two separate occasions and each time was amazing. Their eggs benedict as well as their French toast were both cooked perfectly. Our server, whom we got both times, was attentive, quick and friendly. I would go back every time I was in Portsmouth.

My nephew was staying at the Best Western next to this restaurant. He raved about how good the food was. So Myself and my 90 year old mother went there for a late lunch one of the days we were in the area. Mom's vegetable soup was more of a stew but had a great flavor. Unfortunately for me (being... We have been here twice in the past month, and well worth the hour drive to get there. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious! I'm glad we happened upon this restaurant, we will be returning.

Went here based upon reviews and was not disappointed. Burgers were creative and well made, plenty to choose from, friendly service and a bar - what else could you want?

Was here with the family on a roadtrip in August. Friendly, efficient service. Restrooms were spotless. Food was just OK (bacon cheeseburger and eggs rancheros). Kids were happy with the pancakes.

We asked when we checked into our hotel where to have dinner in the area and the woman at the desk recommended The Roundabout Diner & Lounge, just down the street. We were a party of three and we each ordered something different. Between us, we tried the seafood special, turkey dinner, and pulled pork platter. Everyone was happy with... More

This diner has been on Phantom Gourmet & was voted best diner on the seacoast in The New Hampshire Magazine's Best of New Hampshire 2016 list. I loved this diner which serves breakfast all day. They have a great breakfast menu with such offerings as Grand Marnier French Toast & Pulled Pork Benedict. While it did take a while to... More

Description
At the Roundabout Diner and Lounge, we serve breakfast all day, great burgers and sandwiches, Phantom Gourmet award-winning BBQ, comfort food classics like meatloaf, roast turkey, and of course, local New England favorites like fish and chips, and the best lobster roll around. We also use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, like bread baked just for us by When Pigs Fly Bakery, breakfast sausage made for us in Vermont, local cheeses, and more. And we make all our delicious cakes and pies right here at the Roundabout. From scratch! If you would like us to cater one of your events then look no further than Chill Catering, one of the largest catering companies on the seacoast.
