Great place for Breakfast. It’s much larger inside than it looks. Large menu, good service, good portions.

I went here for dinner and the waitress was more interested in joking around with her group of friends. When she took my order she wasn't listening and gave me someone else's meal. After waiting a long time I just walked out. It was an...all around terrible experience.More

Good roast turkey dinner. Bad prime rib which my wife wanted well done but didn't want to wait an extra 1/2 hr so asked for it 20 minutes into cooking it...still pink. The place did not smell or look clean. It needs some serious attention....The wait staff don't wear uniforms but ours wore shorts hiked up to her crotch. I wonder if a waiter could wear short shorts? The waitress was fineMore

Ordered Breakfast during lunchtime. Food was exceptional and portions were huge! Don't miss the Grand Marnier Cinnamon French Toast! Eggs Bendict was also wonderful. Except for one rude customer, everyone was friendly and happy.

We always stop here when heading north and last time we were here it wasn’t as good but thought we’d give it one more chance. We went for breakfast on Tuesday and there were four other tables seated. The hostess brought us to a table...without saying a word. A waitress came over pretty quickly (only one working) and took our order. Since they only carry whole milk my husband asked for ice with it. Never brought ice. My coffee was deplorable. So weak that I replaced it with tea. My husband enjoyed his omelette but my two eggs over lightly were cool as was the ham. Waitress said, “well I didn’t make them. She replaced my order. Eggs over lightly were still cool and not completely cooked since some of the egg white was runny and I just sopped it up with my napkin. The ham was a skinny dried up piece that was overcooked and difficult to cut and chew. I asked for my toast dry with strawberry jelly. She brought me apple jelly and the toast was soggy from butter. I know it’s tough these times but the diner hardly had customers so poor service and poorly prepared food was inexcusable. A friend told me they had the same problem with the ham. Very dry, very thin, and overcooked. Couldn’t chew it either. We won’t be going back.More

Hi there- thank you for you taking time to make us aware of the situation. We have made the chefs aware of the ham situation. Shocking a server would say that let alone one of ours. Any chance you have a record of your servers...More

This is absolutely one of my favorite "go to's" when not sure what I feel like. I have been forgiving to say the least because I simply chalked it up to a "one time" issue. It's been a three time issue thus far and sadly,...I am extremely disappointed. I ordered an egg white omelette all three occasions and on all three occasions, it has been wrong. I feel like if the waitresses would write down the order (since it is slightly different from the menu), then the chef wouldn't get it wrong. A little frustrating since I did mention to her it has happened previously. There was no attempt to right the wrong. An apology but maybe offer to take off a little on the bill. I work at an area hotel and we refer quite a few people to the Roundabout. The food and atmosphere is amazing, but for the love of God, can you just take a piece of paper out and write down the order!! Not doing so and then getting it wrong so many times, makes for a bad dining experience. I've been a frequent flyer here for many many years (since 2006) and only in the last year have I had to write a less than stellar review.More

I've driven by this diner at the Portsmouth Traffic Circle many times but today was our first visit. My husband ordered the oatmeal with a side of corned beef hash and I ordered the french toast. The corned beef hash had actually chunks of corned...beef in it, not like the stuff from a can! It was great. My husband loved his oatmeal with banana and walnuts, etc. The french toast was made with challah bread and was great. I ordered it with real maple syrup (being a new englander of course) and they served it hot in a little bottle, excellent. I wasn't expecting that. Coffee and service were great too.More

First time here and we decided to go with breakfast. I got 2 eggs scrambled with homefries and toast. Hubby got Monte crisco. My eggs were overcooked (visibly brown and a bit dry/tough), I liked the taste of the homefries but I seemed to get...all the smaller crisper bits while my hubby got the larger less crispy pieces (which I prefer). So the homefries were a bit inconsistent. Toast was tasty but one side (that was face down) was a bit burnt. Monte crisco was good. Water and soda is very chlorinated so if you are not used to it that way its a bit surprising.More

Stop at this diner while driving up to Kittery. Great food, excellent Mimosas, and a wonderful staff that was attentive to our requests. The Challah bread French Toast was incredible as well as the bread of the day. The waitress let us know where they...buy it from and recommended a trip over. Fun little diner.More
