This is long overdue! My husband and I had an intimate Wedding Reception here for about 50 guests. Mombo, and more specifically, Casey Syvertsen, was absolutely phenomenal. I changed my mind about plans probably 50 times and she was so gracious and easy to work...More

Dined at Mombo during 2017 Portsmouth Restaurant week. All menu options looked delicious. Settled on the potato & carmelized onion soup for appetizer. It was smooth, creamy, not at all bland. The pork belly and choice garnish added a nice touch. My entree was the...More

Really enjoyed the restaurant week offering here this fall. Salad, steak and cheese plate were all way above what I have come to expect from Portsmouth special menus for this occasion. Also we had great seats in the loft and service was top notch. Mombo...More

A very quaint restaurant close to downtown. The food was great, the service... EXCELLENT. You really need to stop in and give this establishment your business. The restaurant is housed in an old colonial era location. The overall setting, food and staff are great.

Perhaps I am underrating Mombo using the term "modestly unusual." Sure Yellowfin Tuna seems standard but the other elements of the plate, itse presentation and spicing were initially surprising and then really good. My wife had the lobster flatbread special. We lingered over dinner but...More

We joined friends visiting NH to dine and catch up at Mombo. We were seated at the chef's table, with its focus on the kitchen activities, and secluded from the main dining area. Our waitress, Andrea, is obviously a seasoned server, whose skills and manner...More
