Delicious selection across the board, Fresh seafood, full bar and good wine list. Works well for a short walk in town, or walk up and over the bridge nearby for something different. Right across from Prescott park too.

What a fabulous dinner! Adrienne our server was great and made excellent suggestions. The pork chops were tasty and lean and all of the fish selections were so fresh. Two thumbs up and thanks to Adrienne.

I had the BBQ short ribs and it was a amazing combination of tastes between the ribs and the sides. Interesting old building and amazing Russian art on the walls.

Mombo restaurant is in the building that used to be the General Store in Strawberry Bank. Strawberry Bank is a part of Portsmouth, NH on the water and is of historic value. There is plenty to see and visit here and Mombo restaurant should be the finale. The atmosphere is historic but recent and the food and wine list is... More

We were four dining at Mombo on July 1st. The food was excellent. The restaurant was busy, but far from full. At the end of our meal we asked for desserts and espresso. After some wait we were told there was a problem with the espresso machine. We said OK, just the dessert, please. After some more wait (about 20... More

My meal was vegetarian meal was delicious and my friend said her's was good. The problem for us was: 1. The side of Brussel Sprout was enough for 6 people! They were good but what a waste of food. 2. The servers were paying more attention to each other yakking. We were the only people left upstairs and they were... More

Mombo recently hosted my rehearsal dinner leading up to my wedding. We had a very large group - 60 people - that they comfortably accommodated. The physical space is great, and can handle more people than its initial impression gives off. But to only address the space really down-plays the best parts of this establish. The food experience and people... More

Getting it all right...is the best way to describe Mombo. First, they were very friendly, easy to deal with and so pleasant. The drinks were perfect, the food was excellent, the manager made an extra effort to make sure his guest were happy. And then there was Adrienne our waitress, she was amazing. Her attitude, efficiency, honesty and insight were... More
