Large variety of well prepared tapas for sharing. Good and reasonable wine list. Nice outdoor seating area if weather OK. Friendly, helpful competent staff.

Enjoyed an amazing evening at Cava with couples. Tapas were sublime and the drinks were tasty. Fantastic service as well. Great Portsmouth gem.

This is our first choice meal when we visit Portsmouth. Tonight, though we tried the Chef's Collection of 8 items selected by Chef Gregg Sessler, and were blown away. The baby beet salad, the potato leek soup, and the stuffed piquillo peppers were all wonderful. But the king trumpet mushrooms with snails was amazing, the scallop exquisite, and the beef... More

Visited last minute. Sat in the bar area. Nice setting but small. Several items to choose from. One of the favorites was the artichoke, potatoes and braised beef. Fell off the bone. For dessert try the churo. Bite the top off and add the chocolate that's served with it. There is also a good selection of drinks.

We were four people and between us ordered most of the items listed on the restaurant week menu. All the choices were delicious and tastefully presented. A very enjoyable dining experience. Will definitely go back. Would be great during the summer when they have a few tables outside. If you can reserve the seats at the bar that overlook the... More

We ate outside in the summer where we could people watch. We had the Chef's Sampler which was five courses... all delicious. We were able to sample, seafood, beef and duck. Everything was presented nicely, tasted great and the wait staff was attentive.

Many restaurants deliver one or more elements needed for a great dining experience, but rarely the whole package. Cava goes the extra mile to deliver everything - flavors, presentation and portions. The service was flawless, with all staff members able to answer our questions about various menu items. The menu itself was creative and offered just enough variety that there... More

I was thoroughly disappointed with my recent experience with Cava. I called on a Monday and set up reservations for my wife's birthday (a party of 10). The person taking my reservation asked if I wanted the tasting menu and I told him I would get back, as I wasn't sure everyone in the party would be interested - No... More
