Power went out so we went to George’s Seafood for a quick early dinner. I had the Clam strip basket and my husband had their Shrimp & Scallop basket, both served with crispy fries and their homemade coleslaw. Waitstaff friendly & efficient.

We have been to George's many times over the years and have always had satisfactory food and service. Today after 45 minutes of waiting for our food, I asked how much longer until we got our meals. The grey haired woman, I believe manager came...over and with an attitude. She basically said that we were not the only people here and it should be out momentarily. I do not believe that I was out of line in asking after the long wait. She had no right to speak to us in that manner!. We received our food and when I took a couple of bites of the fish it was horrible. It tasted like a sponge and was swimming in water. When the waitress came to check on us I told her that it was terrible. She asked if I wanted something else and I declined. She said the she would take it off or bill. Next thing you know the grey haired ? Manager came to me with my plate in hand asking what was wrong with it. I told her that the fish was horrible and tasted like a sponge. She with her attitude said "ok sir whatever". When we asked for our check the ? Manager came to our table with the bill. The fish was taken off the bill but she had the audacity to charge me separately for the French fries and Cole slaw that came with the meal!! Upon leaving we said to this ? manager that because of her and being charged for the sides that came with the meal, her waitress lost out on the tip. The ? manager kept asking us if we listened to the news. What that has to do with the quality of the food eludes me. We will never go back there again.More

We have been going to George's Seafood for years and loved the food. Yesterday we traveled 75 mile and an hour and a half to get there. We got a seat right away. We placed our order. My wife ordered the haddock plate. Our son...ordered the chicken tenders and I ordered a large box of clams for myself and to share with the family. This is the main reason we go here is for the clams. About 10 minutes later the waitress came to our table and said they could not fulfil the clam order because that would leave them low on clams for other customers. They offered a clam plate which has a small portion of clams and way too many fries which I don’t care. Again, this is why we travel so far is for the clams. So they would rather have a customer who is in there dining room who ordered food to leave and wait for a customer who might order a clam dish. I was always told "A bird in the hand is worth more than 2 birds in a bush”.More

We were on vacation in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and looking for a lobster dinner. Called George's Seafood and BBQ and they had lobster dinners and safe indoor seating. So we decided to give it a try. I was told they do not...take reservations and it was first come, first served.. we arrived around 4 pm and we're promptly shown to a table in a 3 sided plexiglass table enclosure. We each ordered a cup of seafood chowder which was filled with chunks of seafood and was delicious. We ordered our 1-1/4 lobsters which came with a salad and 2 sides. I selected baked beans and a baked potato as my sides. The salad and bread were brought to the table and were "eh".... The lobsters arrived and they were fresh and delicious. The 2 sides again we're "eh". Service was good and pleasant. Best of all we unknowingly had chosen a day that was senior discount day!More

We were in the Plymouth area shopping and decided to try George's for lunch; we are very happy that we did. It was a positive experience beginning to end. We weren't sure that they had opened inside dining, but they have. The way they partitioned...and spread out the tables was well done and we felt safe the whole time. The staff was friendly and attentive. Aleena, our server, was excellent. We decided to try the seafood chowder, the whole belly clam basket and the BBQ pork sandwich; all were delicious! The chowder was loaded with seafood, the broth was thick (the way we prefer) and you could taste the butter and a hint of sherry. The clam basket came with coleslaw and for $1.00, I opted to substitute onion rings for the fries. The clams were golden and done just right, and I really liked the coleslaw. The onion rings were perfect! Whenever we revisit I will always opt for the onion rings!! My wife really enjoyed the BBQ sandwich, The pork was moist and it wasn't overdone with BBQ sauce. The roll was excellent; grilled just right yet still soft. All in all a wonderful lunch - we wouldn't hesitate to recommend George's Seafood & BBQ. We will certainly be back.More

My family ate here mid-week during Covid-19 and tables were distanced appropriately, staff wore masks and were friendly with good service. The food was delicious and the fried calamari was perfect. French fries are crispy but not greasy. We’ll be back.

Although open until 8, we went at 7 and they were clearly ready for us to leave, and ran the vacuum in the adjacent room during our dinner. Limited, poor wine list, food just ok. Everything was fried, very heavy, not healthy. Decor has not...been updated since the 1960s. Drive into the old town of Plymouth for better choices.More

This place looks unassuming from the outside but the food is reeeeeeally good. It's pricier than I expected ($18 for pasta?) but that's only because even the pasta is chock-full of seafood. We all ordered different menu items, including dessert, and every single thing was...delicious. And there are glasses of wine for under $4? Fantastic! The patio is a great option.More

Not sure but the prices are very reasonable. Food is delicious. Maybe they don’t want other businesses to undercut them with prices on line.
