A small, homey atmosphere. The staff was personable (Laura & Chuck) and very efficient! Food was great — Fisherman’s Platters and Steak Tips were fab!

Wanted to try the bbq, but got sidetracked by the lobster roll! Our first roll in our week in New England and no disappointment at all - it was terrific!. Fries were crispy, coleslaw creamy, good beer selection and reasonable wine choices for a small...place. Sandy our waitress was attentive and Tiffany's a great 'coach. Seafood chowder less than impressive, maybe an off night. Definitely worth a visit. Wish we'd tried the bbq also.More

When we walked in I heard one of the customers say they were getting out of here. They ended up out on the patio. I wish we had done the same. After being seated I understood with the other customers moved to the patio. The...hostess should have been sent home for wearing short shorts. Her butt cheeks were hanging out. Disgusting! Then when she cleaned the table next to us she made sure she pointed her ass towards my husband. He was even disgusted by her actions. Needless to say we won’t be eating there anymore.More

This place has always been a local gem but it’s under new management and it isn’t what it once was. We were a party of 11 with a reservation. We were seated in a back room that gave the feel of a white box atmosphere...and no other place to put us. Soda was served in bottles, not fountain dispensed. I always have enjoyed the scallops here and was craving them. HUGE disappointment. The food was mildly warm, scallops COVERED in bread crumbs that were soggy and appeared to have been added right before the dish came to the table. Other dishes had no flavor or were presented horribly. The wait staff appeared as though they didn’t know the routine, getting mixed signals from whom I can only think was the manager. All in all, this was not the celebration meal we were so looking forward to and I’m sorry to see Plymouth lost a local treasure. I won’t be back.More

If you ever wondered what a fried rubber ducky taste like, order the haddock basket from George's Sea Food Restaurant. I have to tell you, chewing on that haddock did wonders for exercising the jaw muscles. I've been a patron of George's since the mid...1970s when it was an excellent restaurant. Now-a-days the portions are miniscule and the prices are astronomical - all of which is halfway forgivable if the food tasted good as it should. This is my second and last bad experience with that place. I'm not sure how it even stays in business considering what I went through.More

Place appeared clean. Service was informal and friendly. Food quality was fairly good with reasonable apportionment, bearing in mind that seafood is an expensive delicate challenging product for any restaurant to handle. I had the large (12oz) lobster roll. The presentation was good and the...lobster meat seemed fresh and was properly cooked. The lobster roll was tasty and enjoyable. This may sound a bit silly, but the French fries, which I usually don’t eat, were near perfect. The price point was very reasonable considering the current market. The second product ordered was a clam strip basket that also provided well prepared tasty strips reasonablely apportioned. The fries again were very nicely prepared. This basket was also very well priced. All in all a good value and a satisfying experience.More

I've been eating here for 20 years. The food WAS excellent great value for the price. Under the new ownership my family and I won't be going back. Everything has been cheapened and the quality was awful. The fried food was ok but we sent...back steamers twice....twice. They were served in some random cream based sauce with huge chunks of tomatoes. Not New England at all. The ribs were grey in color and over cooked. I get it, there are growing pains with new owners but the menu, value and quality were great why change something that worked to make an extra buck. You will see a decrease in customers.More

We came here thinking it would be a great place to satisfy everyone's taste buds. When maps brought us to the location I was so excited to see the small building. I thought it would definitely be good. The waitress was so sweet. She had...just started working there. She was eager to get us anything we needed. We ordered BBQ. Our food was cold. Then beans had no seasoning. Everything was cold. If we ever go back, we will order seafood. Everyone else in the restaurant was ordering seafood. Lesson learned!!More

Dear new owners, If you want to stay in business you have to give larger portions or lower prices. I had 5 scallops and one little scoop of Cole slaw for $30. Our bill for 2 was $100. and I’m still hungry. The food is...tasty but not enough for the cost. Hope you take these reviews seriously or George’s seafood won’t last. Sad customerMore

Food was just ok: My wife ordered the French onion soup, she said she could have made it just as good at home. Her Ruben, again, was good not great (The cheese was not melted, no thousand island dressing on it). My 1/2 rack of...ribs were good, the BBQ Chichen not so much. Their fries were great - crispy with a nice seasoning. Beers were cheep/cold for $5. Service: Wait staff was very friendly and we were greeted quickly. regretfully it took over 45 mins to get our food. Not very likely to go back there…More

Be warned that the food portion is very small. For the haddock dinner of $23, there is only a piece of fish and the baked potato that came as the side is the smallest I ever see served in a restaurant. Shrimp scampi has weird...sauce and chicken parm tested like microwave food. Four of us spent $100 for our meal, but it was the worst meal we had during any trip. The service is very slow too, I would suggest that you stay away from this restaurant while in the area.More

I have been going to George's since I was a kid, always amazing food and good service until the past couple weeks. We have gone in multiple times in the past few weeks, its my grandpa favorite place to go. Thinking maybe it was an...off day, we kept coming back. But things are not the same. The chowder has been completely different, the tartar sauce, down to the clamcakes, and batter on the fried foods. Im just wondering if they have new staff? Or changed the recipes? Or owners? I hope it goes back to the way it was because our entire family enjoys it and have come often for years. Hopefully its just new staff finding their way in the kitchen.More

3 of us ate here, all had different meals, and all enjoyed them very much. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the service was a bit slow. But great food and large selection

Not sure but the prices are very reasonable. Food is delicious. Maybe they don’t want other businesses to undercut them with prices on line.
