We have lived full-time in the area for four years and the Rainbow Grille is our favorite restaurant. The Tavern food is very good and offers a less expensive alternative to the Rainbow Grille. The pizzas are delicious. I have not had a bad meal there. The waitstaff are friendly and professional. It's a great place.

We very much enjoyed our meal. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. The staff was friendly and the service was great! We would definitely recommend it and look forward to going back when they reopen in May!

We ate at both Murphy’s Steakhouse and Rainbow Grill (at Tall Timber) when we were there. Truly both restaurants are fantastic (and pricy). I found the service slow in both BUT at the same time not a problem as we were on vacation so didn’t want to rush… (just keep that in mind if you are on a time frame).... More

Food is wonderful...great choices on the menu. Call early enough to request a window seating. We have been there many times and never been disappointed.

The Rainbow Grille is fantastic and so is the Tavern - I just wish there were more seats in the bar area to accommodate the diners - It's nice to sit by the fire and hear stories about the days adventures from other travelers! The dinning room can make you fall asleep!

The food and service are always excellent. Be sure to call as far in advance as possible because reservations are essential and they have a strange and sometimes confusing system. They only serve a certain number of tables per hour and they don't call it "reservation only" but it really is. Sometimes the bar is filled with obnoxious people but... More

We ate at the Rainbow Grille during our Christmas stay at the Tall Timber Lodge. We made the reservations months in advance and I'm glad we did because it was busy! The food was amazing. We had the stuffed mushrooms and the boys had clam chowder soup for appetizers. Mushrooms were fabulous! Boys said the soup was good as well.... More
