Last night we took our college kids and friends out to dinner after shopping at the outlets in North Conway. We did have to wait 50 minutes for a table for 6 but it was totally worth it! The butternut squash and duck was amazing....One girl is vegetarian and at first we thought she’d have to settle for a salad but the waitress came back to say it was totally vegan. Great friendly funny waitress. Cool classy setting and an extensive beer menu as well as a cool selection of cocktails. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend!More

Just what we needed - so we went twice! Menu had all the favourites plus some extra interesting dishes, beers and cocktails. Happy efficient service and reasonable prices for the quality. Supporting a great local business - oh and the decor/atmosphere pleasing too.

Great spot. Clean and minimalist but good fare. 30 beers on tap and great grub. Had the steamed mussels and Korean tacos. Fun times.

I understand that staffing is difficult at this time and that after labor day things slow down. I called before setting out to ensure that they were open, their recorded message assured that they were.. I drove the 35 miles only to find that they...were closed, a note on the door. Very disapointed, along with others who had arrived at the same time. I can't imagine that this display of disregard for customers reflects well on the service had the doors been open.More

We walked in to be seated with my elderly mother. The restaurant’s manager Brie Welch was seating people and ask us if our whole party was present. We told her they were walking over and but we asked her if we could be seated because...my elderly mother needed to sit. My mother had a cane and was obviously not ok to stand. She told us that it was against the policy to seat anyone even if they were handicapped. She didn’t offer a chair for my mother and she was clearly insensitive to people with disabilities. It was shocking that a company hire and give a manager title to such an uneducated and tone deaf person. We decided to not give our business to a company that cannot put people over policy.More

I didn’t check their website first just did a walk-in to try to order my daughter a simple kid’s hamburger. The “ hostess “ was super rude and said “ we don’t do take out”. Very cold and unwelcoming. I could have decided to sit...and stay and order something for myself as well but after her rude demeanor I walked out. Won’t be returning nor recommend.More

Let me start by mentioning Barley and Salt is always one of our favorite go-to restaurants when visiting North Conway, which is often. Esp due to location since we stay at the North Conway Grand and you can easily walk. Today we went for lunch...and we were disappointed. I’ll start with the good (great actually)….the service….Amber was awesome!! On point, attentive, and friendly!! Nice job!! The atmosphere remains great as well, unchanged. The blood orange mimosa I had was perfect, my husbands choice in draft beer was great and the salt and vinegar wings my daughter had as her meal were delish!! We ordered salsa and Guacamole for an app and although it was delicious, could use more chips. I noticed my Pho was taken off the menu which was extraordinarily disappointing, it’s been my favorite dish of theirs for a long time, so I tried the Miso noodle bowl and it was seriously lacking flavor. The only flavor I got from it was adding the entire container of the spicy sauce that comes on the side. Without it literally nothing. So if you don’t like heat, you’ll be out of luck. My husband did not like his chicken tacos, the meat is pulled and on the mushy side. I am hoping for some change back to the old menu items and next time we visit we have a better flavor experience. I’ll be very sad to take this one off of our hit list. I gave three stars because I don’t have the heart to give it two although that’s kind of how I’m feeling. Historically we really love this place.More

After our 4 hour drive, we stopped at B&S for our first meal in the White Mountains. The beers were great (even though they ran out of the one I wanted most) and the food was good. Like a previous review, it was a little...bland, but a dash of salt and pepper livened it up enough for me. I had the lobster pasta, which was great, and my husband had a turkey wrap. We left satiated and ready to take on our vacation! We arrived during a shift change, and our original waitress wasn't very personable - but the one who took care of us the rest of the time was great. I'd recommend.More
