Horrible bar food. I had a burger which was salty and marginal at best. The pickles, lettuce & tomato made it edible. The fries looked and tasted like they had been reheated, dark brown and dry. I'm sure they were reheated. Wish I took a pic. Bacon, Mac & cheese also bad. Overcooked pasta with absolutely no flavor to it.... More

Fun spot in quaint little town of Newport. Building is a nicely renovated brick building in the center of town. Menu of comfort food and pub beers. Good meeting place with friends. Ambiance a little lacking......

I visited on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Service was fast, food hit the spot, and the waitress was very attentive. I loved the buffalo tenders, as they had a slight crisp on the outside.

We just moved to Newport and have been to Salt hill Pub 4 or 5 times already.. I love the beef stew. It's delicious. Onion rings are so good!! My husband likes the salmon. We've taken friends here and they are impressed as well. Everyone is so friendly and really cares. So much to choose, but, I'm hooked on the... More

Always good experience at Salt Hill Pub. Friendly staff, never a long wait for meals even when we brought a large group. Meals are always good size servings, delicious and hearty. Love their stew.

We were heading to Okemo and planned on trying a place in Claremont that looked very interesting (New Socials). When passing through Newport we saw Salt Hill Pub and imagined something completely different. We chose it instead based on the historic exterior and our hunger. While it wasn't bad, it also wasn't special. The interior was brightly lit, not at... More

My husband and I stopped here for dinner after riding our ATVs in Newport. It was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised. At first, we weren't going to stop in because it looked like the place was empty from the outside. But most people were upstairs in the bar, which is where we headed. They had the NASCAR... More

I always get the steak and potatoes and its delish.. And my husband get the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and he swears by it! Both come with a side salad and we do NOT get an app because it would be too much food for us!

Bring an appetite, the portions are large. We always start with a few apps. Everything we've had here has been great. The service is great as well.
