Very disappointing service. Waited 25 minutes this morning just to be asked if we wanted coffee, let alone take our breakfast order. No one ever came to the table. Amazing how an expense Marriott property would allow that kind of lousy service. This was at...9am. You’d think you could hire the best help at this sad stage of unemployment.More

You can’t go wrong with the flatbread pizzas or bacon wrapped scallops! So much flavor in the scallops! Our family enjoyed our meals very much. The waitress was delightful and very prompt! The prices were what you would expect for a restaurant around here. We...were very impressed with everything!More

we stayed at the Wentworth by the sea hotel and ate at Salt Kitchen and Bar three times. The staff and management of this restaurant are struggling with running this eatery while implementing social distancing restrictions. The service was slow. The menu was uninteresting. There...are much better restaurants in the area, we ate there three times because our car had a flat and it took 2 days to get a replacement tire!More

Would eat here again - even good for takeout! Recommend the fresh burrata. Too much spice on the shrimp in the Caesar salad but otherwise good.

The food and service was so lovely we are returning for Easter brunch. The lobster roll was huge with chunks of claws on a homemade hotdog roll with fries. My husband had half portion of fresh mushroom ravioli with pork belly on the side. Ended...with sharing a chocolate budini for dessert that was delish. Nice wines by the glass and cocktails. Our server, Lauren, was great. Loved our lunch so much we booked for Easter brunch which also is my husband's birthday. A very extensive menu. Looking forward to it.More

We were not looking for this kind of experience. But it was what we didn’t k is we needed. Chantell-tia not only gave us beautiful personal service . But in many diffferent ways made the experience personal. And following her suggestions in choice of dining...item was also a good decision. As on top of this the refined atmosphere and absolutely delicious and somewhat surprising menu items I would recommend this place to any one.More

First, let me start with the beautiful ambience. It’s a beautiful restaurant. Leaving it at that.... Called and reserved a nice birthday table, as it was my husband’s birthday, and I specifically stayed at the hotel for the restaurant experience. What a disappointment. When we...arrived and were seated, the table offered was a tiny table abutting a pillar wall near kitchen. Nope. We were re-routed to another small table, but a decent location. Again, I expected better. Onto the beginning service. Not good, and I’m being kind. She did not bring our drinks until 12-15 minutes after we ordered them. Did not bring waters; that should have been the first thing. We had to ask again for our drinks. They magically appeared in less than a minute. She obviously forgot to pick them up. Strike 1 We also noticed several tables, which were seated at the time we were, and they were munching on bread. We had no bread, nor was it offered. My husband tracked her down quietly and asked if it was complimentary, she said yes. She then came back with the bread. Strike 2. Now onto the meals. I ordered the chicken saltimbocca entree. My husband ordered the grilled tenderloin, which came on top of risotto. He asked to substitute risotto with whipped potatoes. She said that was fine. Meals took a while ... both were cold. Again, that’s service. The chicken was also very over cooked, and hard. My husband’s beef was well done, and he had risotto......not potatoes. She didn’t check his plate obviously. Strike 3 When she finally came back to the table, we shared the disgruntlement, and asked for the manager. He came by and we shared the same with him. He was kind and removed the meals from the bill, and they re-ordered my husband’s entree... on top of potatoes. He ate it, but he was not happy knowing how upset I was. I was upset, and didn’t accept a re-do. Why would I. After he finished, I was so hungry at that point. We ended up back at the bar and ordered a flat bread pizza. Not what I had planned for a special dinner. We will never be back, nor will I we recommend Salt to anyone. I do not enjoy writing bad reviews, but you need to understand what happened, so perhaps you won’t allow this to happen to other guests spending a good chunk on a room, with higher expectations.More

Loved their Umbria flatbread pizzas with field mushrooms made gluten-free and their excellent SALT salad with its pomegranate, pecans, parmigiana reggiano, and goat cheese toppings. On another occasion over the Xmas holiday enjoyed their lobster bisque, their oysters, and their lobster rolls, but disappointing were...their lamb chop and their vegetable brise pastry appetizers—surprisingly small (2 instead of the usual 4) for the former and the so-called vegetables in pastry only consisted of onion—also rather small in size! Surprising as usually portions are more than generous at SALT. Other pluses are the Xmas Holiday Buffet in the Grand Ballroom—always wonderful with oysters and Champagne to start—with its choice of salmon and swordfish entrees, as well as the carving station with its roast beef or Xmas ham. The charcuterie and local cheese courses are always splendid, too. Maybe because i tend to prefer sorbets or fresh fruits, the wide array of desserts this year did not whet my appetite, but I did enjoy a sliver of their plain cheesecake with a blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry topping—if not full, I would have had a second slice! I must also compliment SALT KItchen & Bar on their great way staff. Every person I had during all of my meals at the Wentworth by the Sea, including room service, was efficient, friendly, helpful, and courteous.More

Faith was amazing! She handled the slow kitchen and overwhelmed morning wait with a smile. She’s back from college for Christmas and dealing with the visiting crowd. The food was good (breakfast) ... I’m not sure you can screw up eggs. It’s the holidays so...we will give the restaurant a pass on the long wait... Their Bloody Mary was good too! But Faith was the best part of breakfast even tho she’s rocking Haley’s name tag.More

Our 10th annual pre-Christmas brunch at Wentworth by-the-Sea - viSunday, December 14, 12:30 p.m. - likely there will not be an 11th. 1) 15 minutes after having been seated we had to go to the hostess' station and ask for service; 2) although there was...a 20% add on service charge, we were poorly and slowly served; 3) the dessert table was not the dessert table of the past, poorly stocked with many empty serving plates, and a mess - the hostess said she would correct this immediately. Result: the appearance of 1 unattractive cheese cake. Management succeeded in filling the space to overflowing - but failed to provide sufficient staff to handle the crowd. Service and food quality way down. Price, way up.More
