Overall, we enjoy going there.
Nice show as the Hibachi Chicken/beef is prepared in front of us. The food is very tasty.
Service is spotty - took a long time for our drinks to arrive and the waitress never came back to see if we wanted a second round.
The facility itself needs work - which makes me wonder how things are were we cannot see:
1: handle on the front door (to get in the restaurant) almost came off in my hand.
2: large section (bottom right hand corner) of the mens room door was broken (almost separated from the rest of the door)
3: am old blob of toilet paper (looks like it was thrown at the wall when wet) was on one of the mens rooms walls.

During this of COVID, they have outside seating, paper menus and an accommodating staff. The food is well seasoned and is always tasty. They usually have hibachi inside as well but not sure that is available at this time.

Great sushi, very good teppanyaki, nice sake, great show from the chefs. Very friendly staff, we enjoyed our dinner amongst colleagues after work. Recommended!

This is the successor to the Tokyo Japanese Steak House, which operated for years in this spot. The decor is different, but the fare is similar--hibachi, sushi, and Asian food from the kitchen menu served in a typical restaurant setting. The hibachi chefs perform the usual feats of culinary acrobatics--the egg roll on the spatula, the Mt. Fuji volcano, flipping the chunks of zucchini in the open mouths of patrons. We noticed that the food is not too salty; our chef did not overdo it with the soy sauce or salt. The prices were reasonable.
You get a choice of salad or miso soup with lunch, not both. We usually find the salads at these Japanese steak houses to be a bit stale, so the soup is a much better choice.
Our server was conscientious, but a bit klutzy. We inferred that this was her first job.

This restaurant offer both sit-down as well as Teppanyaki grill seating. Service is acceptable and reasonably fast.

This was our 1st time visiting, and while the food was pretty average, the service was amazing! The staff was very attentive, friendly, and welcoming, we felt right at home from the minute we walked in. The food wasn't bad, it was just meh... Noodles were a bit too salty for my taste but the rest was just average,the drinks were good (highly recommend the Blue Lagoon). Overall not impressed with the food but blown away by the service.

Have been many times. Changes in Star and quality of food is troublesome. Previous visit we found Coconut Shrimp which was fresh shrimp made in kitchen was now is frozen version. We thought we would try again. I have a garlic allergy. Was never a problem the chef left out garlic, no garlic in the grill. New chef laughed when told of allergy. I reiterated the severity. He cooked and suddenly dumped garlic on the grill and placed my meal on the area. He placed the meal on my plate. I couldn’t eat it without knowing it would cause a real problem. He laughed. Said what’s wrong He told me next time order from kitchen.
My allergy is severe. The act was a purposeful act that had I not seen him do it would have meant an ambulance trip to the hospital.
I would recommend people with any allergy avoid the restaurant and caution those without to question what might go into your food

We have been here for lunch a few times for the Teppanyaki grill.
The preparers are very entertaining and perform the typical showmanship. The food was very good (choose an entree from choices such as steak, chicken, shrimp, calamari, fish, etc.). The meal comes with grilled veggies, fried rice and a choice of soup or salad.
The wait staff is very attentive and friendly.
The restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere.
For about. $10-$11 a person for lunch, it is a great deal (supper is almost 2x for the larger portions of food).

The biggest appeal of this restaurant is the fun of watching the chef prepare the meal in front of you with all the flair and customer interaction. In all honesty, though, the food itself was really more just average. The atmosphere was also pretty good: clean and modern in its decor with a friendly host and waitstaff. It is worth the experience for the mere fun of it, just don't expect to be blown away by the cuisine.
