The view from the terrace is awesome and not to be missed. Glad we drove a hour from our B&B to this place for lunch - It is truly a fabulous view. The fried onion rings were pretty good too.

Let me start off with a disclaimer that we are "local's". We visit the Castle at least three times a "season" and it's always a treat!! If you haven't viewed Lake Winnipesaukee from this vantage point this is an absolutely must!!. During the summer they have acoustic Music on Monday nights and Live jazz on Thursdays. There are three settings... More

The view from the patio dining area will knock your socks off! The Lake, islands, and Belknap range are out if this world. Food and drinks are good, too. The Museum is definitely worth checking out at least once to get a historical perspective on the place. Feed the humungous trout and watch the feeding frenzy! Live music some nights... More

I had the Tom Foolery turkey sandwich for lunch and it was very tasty. The onion rings were just OK, nothing special. They have a few vegetarian selections which is nice. The sandwich was so falling, I didn't have dessert. I would have loved to try the key lime pie:)

Let me start by saying that we ate here on a beautiful day and that was the saving grace. The wait for the table was about 15 minutes at 1:30 on a Wednesday in July, not bad. The waitress was very nice. The menu is not large but I ordered a special. The wait for the food was very long... More

We stopped to have lunch and it was very enjoyable..we both ordered a turkey sandwich which was tasty! I would have liked a salad ( which they had) but they were not able to add grilled chicken to it ( for the protein) Just a thought to consider for the future! Very sweet and attentive waitress (Lauren) Plenty of seating... More

A must-see for visitors to the Lakes Region. The Castle is a beautifully restored mountainside mansion overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee. Check website for special events, but restaurant offers good food and breath-taking views of mountains and lakes.

We have eaten at the Stable Restaurant at the Castle many times. The view from the patio is fantastic. Or if chilly or damp, you can eat in the stalls of the old stable, minus the hay and droppings. The food has always been good. The specials are creative and tasty. I was disappointed in the size of my serving... More

We went for a late lunch on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend at Castle in the Clouds after a beautiful morning of hiking in the surround woods (highly recommended). Since we arrived at 1:40 we figured the lunch crowd would be mostly cleared out and we could get a table right away. The place was indeed emptying out but... More

Description
This is a restaurant associated with the historic house also called Castle in the Clouds. But, the restaurant is in the old carriage house part way up the mountain toward the actual historic house. The restaurant serves a rather nice lunch, which I am prepared to review for you.
