First time I have been in years and found it a charming place providing a very good lunch. From the soup to the wonderful apple cranberry crisp the flavors were very good. Service was great and we were in the small room that used to...be a bedroom. It was quiet and out of the main traffic area so very peaceful. There is a wonderful gift shop and gardens to roam. Well worth the time to go and enjoy. Reservations are a must.More

Going to Pickity is an ''experience''. I have been waiting 12 years to go. Once upon a time we had a Tea Room. One of our guests asked whether we had ever been to Pickity as they also did things with edible flowers and she...compared our Tea Room to them. Having just gone there I feel proud to say that that was the best compliment we could have. Pickity was a Treasure worth the long drive.More

I have been a couple of times and I want to enjoy the food but I rarely do. In addition, they pack you in so tight you can barely move. Today two tables had to be moved just to allow someone to sit down. The...table was pushed all the way to her body. Plus the rooms are not all equally air conditioned. It is the luck of the draw. The beverages are always plentiful and good. Today they said there would be rolls and they served focaccia. The sesame chicken was awful. It was served on some slaw that was so wilted and drenched in dressing. Yuck. The dessert was horrible. It was some berries and cream in a very rubbery chocolate crepe. They do not adjust the amount of dip they give you. It is the same for 4 as it is for 2. It is only enough for a thin smear on their very average Pepperidge Farm crackers. I think people get very caught up in the cuteness and atmosphere and forget you are paying $30 for lunch. The gift shops are nice but need new inventory. I recommend once for the experience, but it is not great food and the rooms are tiny.More

I've been eating here for years and never had a bad meal. It's always a special occasion. Warm bread, good company, and great service. I've never had a complaint from the different people I've brought there for the first time. It's hard to choose whether...to eat meat or the vegeterian meal because they both are delis.More

Pickity Place is a wonderful place for a special lunch and I have been there approximately four times over the years. My most recent visit, however, my friend and I felt very rushed. With each course being so delicious, it would have been nice to...savor them with a pause in between. Instead, we were just finishing up, or not yet finished, one course when the next was delivered. Otherwise, delicious food, great waitstaff, great location.More

You have to experience Pickity Place. The gardens are beautiful and the drying shed was so cool. The gift shop and garden center was full of unique gifts. But the real draw was the food!! A culinary experience!!

This is a magical, beautiful restaurant, herb gardens, flower gardens and the model for a Golden Book of Little Red Riding Hood. We always love our visits here.

Visited Pickity Place twice in the fall of 2020, the first visit was a meeting with friends from New Hampshire and Massachusetts along with myself and a friend from RI. The staff are so friendly and inviting. During our luncheon, which was 5* for sure,...I enjoyed the Raspberry Orange Tea so much I bought a 2lb. Pkg to take home. I also called and ordered another 2lb.Pkg when I was getting low. On my second visit there were 5 of us from RI. Everyone enjoyed the luncheon, it was the Christmas one and was so good. Before we ate we did some shopping-have you heard of the melting snowman? Yes, the rooms are small but if your careful you can stay safe and still enjoy yourselves. I have to order more tea by mail until I’m able to return but trust me myself and friends will definitely be going back by Spring.More

I have loved dining at Pickity Place in the past. It was my husband's birthday and this was our first time dining indoors since the virus struck. I gave it three stars: one for a lovely atmosphere, one for excellent food, and one for great...service. I deducted two stars because it is not a safe place to dine right now. The tables are spaced quite nicely. But entrance to the building is via one door, into a small room with no possibility for social distancing. Entrance is not controlled, so any number of people can come in at once. Ours was the first seating. While we were still eating (masks off, of course) people for the second seating were allowed to enter and walk through our dining room, and stand around waiting for the facilities to be free. No attempt was made to control the number of people who did this, although there are other facilities guests could use elsewhere on the grounds. At one point there were six extra people in this small dining space while we were eating. And in order to exit the building, we had to squeeze by a number of people coming in for the second seating. I felt unsafe -- couldn't get out of there fast enough. I don't think the management is taking virus precautions seriously. All in all, not a good experience for our first time dining indoors.More

The gourmet meal here changes each month so I can only say that this review is only good for this day and month. The menu is fixed except for the entree: which is usually a meat and a vegetarian. Meal I included a complete meal....All very well prepared and presented. The service was outstanding. The aesthetics were rustic. Parking was a terrible issue and difficult to find. This place is way out from everything. Great experience and throughly enjoyable. Reservations are required and only lunches are served.More

I have been dying to visit here for so long, finally made the trip with two friends. We were not disappointed. It was amazing! A quaint little place with giftshops, beautiful flower and herb gardens, and seating areas all around the outside. The meal itself...was out of this world-talk about a five star meal! Choice of hot or cold beverages, and the rest of the menu changes each month. Everything from the crackers and dip to the entree to the dessert (and everything in between) was absolutely delicious and the presentation was simply spectacular. Fresh flowers and herbs are used throughout. Small and old fashioned inside-really takes you back in time. Every staff member we came in contact with was so friendly and polite. It was nice and relaxing to wander through the yard after we ate-keep a look out for the fairies and fairy houses among the trees and bushes. Lots of fun things to buy in the gift shops too. We are already planning our next trip in the spring! Hate to wait that long though.More

My sister and I have met here for a birthday lunch for years. We meet early in the gift shop to sample the Dip of the Day, served with pretzels. Sometimes we bring a bottle of wine and sit out on the lawn chairs chatting...until the lunch bell rings. I don’t think we’ve ever had anything twice, their menu changes monthly and their chefs are very creative. The waitresses are friendly and knowledgeable about the food and how its prepared and the presentation of each course is stunning!More

They are open year round . They can accommodate quite a few people if you are willing to sit at different tables. Figure 4 people per table ( a few seat 5). Its worth the experience.
