This is a small restaurant on Elm Street, the main street in Manchester. It was founded by a Hungarian immigrant. One orders at the counter and the food is brought to the table, often by the owner. The beef goulash was very tasty, and the sides of noodles, rice, and carrots were good. The Wiener Schnitzel was tasty, but the... More

My wife and I have gone to Lala"s for breakfast a number of times and have always been satisfied. They are a takeout pastry shop but have tables and a very limited menu for breakfast, lunch, etc. We have only been there for breakfast. We both order their breakfast sandwich with sausage served on a croissant. It always comes to... More

Love the real and authentic Hungarian food and pastries. Cute/small, not fancy, but great food. The goulash is great - often the owner is there and super cute and friendly!

Food is superb epsecially For those ones Who could apprecitate east european quisine. If Soups were popular here Americans would be overcrowding this place. Other food as goulash vienese schnitcel is also delicious. My Wife as a woman paid attention to minor details such as absence of aprots of the staff. I am not a fan of pastries but it... More

Had the blueberry crepes. They were only warm, but the taste was out of this world. Such a cute little gem in downtown Manchester. Great pastries too.

Small, unassuming place with classical music, great service and great food. We went for dinner on two occasions, but others told us the place is also known for great breakfasts and lunch! I had the beef goulash on one occasion and the chicken breast schnitzel the other time? Each was accompanied by rice, potato, veggies done to perfection. The meatball... More

I have been going since they opened their doors. The pastries are quite good. European pastries are not as sweet as their American versions so it is... More

Strolling the streets of Manchester we came across Lalas and went in for lunch. Six of us varied sandwiches and soup and we all enjoyed our food. This is a hidden little gem.
