I always enjoy my visits to The Backroom! The food is very good and plentiful, the wait staff are very experienced and helpful, and the place is always bustling! Locals love eating here, so you know it's good. Go early on Friday and Saturday evenings, or you'll have a long wait - worth it, but likely over an hour, sometimes... More

Great food at a reasonable price. Have only been there twice but both times everything was delicious. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again. Actually looking forward to next time

For years I've been hearing about the Puritan Backroom, but never ate here. After dropping a family member off at the airport, we read a bunch of reviews and decided to make this our "lupper" (lunch/dinner) spot. The Greek salad that comes with the meal is topped with a large piece of perfect, not too salty feta. They serve it... More

There's nothing like the Puritan's chicken tenders. And the dinner (with salad, rolls and a veggie) is so big, I look forward to leftovers for lunch.

I hear that the Puritan Backroom is always crowded so it must be a favorite of the locals in Manchester. The decor is pretty, it is very large and there is a wide variety of food to choose from. I had the veggie flatbread that was very good. The seafood portions are huge so you can consider splitting the entree's.... More

The Purtitan continues to pass the test of time by being the most consistent taste in food. The chicken tenders are ledgendary ans the chicken in special sauce is still great after all these years. The restaurant went thru a cosmetic change years ago but thankfully the food is still the same.

The food quality was quite good and we enjoyed the homemade ice cream. Unfortunately, the service was poor. Our server was aloof, didn't listen, and she was absent for long periods when we needed to ask for something. We left wishing we had chosen somewhere else to eat, simply because of the service. It was the only poor service we... More

Love the Puritan for decent home style food, ambiance and old time feel. Great drinks and service. If you're there in the summer, great for ice cream too.

Thank Samantha K
