Relaxed, pleasant atmosphere; good service; great wines and drinks; and always excellent food. The warm spinach salad is the best I've had.

My friends and I had an amazingly good dinner at Ariana's and just wish we lived closer! The atmosphere is lovely and the food is truly great.
We had a family meal in the private dining room (during COVID so we were all vaccinated but very cautious about anyone else!). The service was impeccable and the food was first rate. One of the family is a culinary institute trained chef and even...he was amazed at the top ingredients and exacting preparation. You can't do better, NYC, DC, SF, and so on.More
We had dinner in the tasing room. There's a fireplace and wine themed decor. The restaurant has nice paintings of cows, horses and chickens. The staff are friendly and accomodating and made the evening a success. Food was excellent. An eclectic menu that appeals to...many tastes. The truffle gnocci was amazing. The mussels were tender and delicious. Spicy asian cod with lemongrass was also delicious. Everyone cleaned their plates.More
You can't miss at this restaurant at the Lyme Inn! Food is superb, service is very attentive. They also handled COVID precautions very well.
Fantastic food, nice atmosphere. The chef is so kind and creates wonderful meals using local and in-season ingredients. I got the halibut atop ramen noodles in a coconut sauce which was wonderful. My dad got the ribeye steak and truffled mashed potatoes which he enjoyed....Service was top notch. An excellent place to enjoy a meal.More
What a great meal. The braised short rib melted in my mouth. My wife had the corn chowder which also was excellent and some very nice beers. And the staff was exceptional. Definitely going to eat here again.
Delicious food and absolutely awesome service from our smart/funny/hustling waitress Janie (Jamie?) My wife had wanted to go to Ariana's for her birthday, and since they aren't open that day I went on-line two weeks ago and requested a reservation for last night. That turned...into a bit of a scramble, since while I received confirmation of my request immediately I didn't get reservation confirmation. We subsequently (and see their current web page) learned they were having major difficulties with the reservation service and eventually chef Martin reached out to us to personally fix our problem...as if he didn't have enough to do already! He also came out after we arrived, said hello, and apologized for their systems problem. We arrived on time and were promptly seated in the very nice patio tent, right by the (unfortunately broken) heater. Fortunately it wasn't too cold yesterday, so we just kept jackets on. Our waitress, on the run the whole time we were there...like so many businesses they are short handed...came over a few minutes later, introduced herself and took our beverage orders. Shortly later the bartender, much in evidence helping with service all evening, delivered our drinks, which were delicious, particularly the unusual jalapeno margarita. We both ordered salads (mine spinach, my wife's Romaine) and our meals. Difficult to pick from this menu, lots of great choices. I finally decided on the swordfish and my wife the ribeye steak. We both really enjoyed the salads and the meals were fabulous. My swordfish was moist, tender and in a delicious saffron butter sauce. My wife's steak was also delicious (she gave me a bite) and in a mushroom leek demi glaze. She asked to substitute smashed (Ariana's has no problem doing such things) potato for the truffle one because she doesn't like truffles. Both plates included fresh local vegetables. We both decided to have desert, since it was kind of a birthday, my wife's came with three candles and staff promising not to sing. All thru the meal our waitress was hustling around, chatting/joking with all her tables, explaining the history of the place, sharing a funny story about the heater outage, providing details on the food and wine, explaining the very short staffing, but never leaving anyone waiting for attention...truly amazing. We will definitely go back, and highly recommend Ariana's as the best restaurant in the region by far.More
My husband and I spent a week at The Lyme Inn that houses Ariana's Restaurant and were advised by the hotel manager that we should book dinner at Ariana's before we arrived since it is very popular and stays booked since it is only open...Wednesday through Saturday evenings. We decided to book Wednesday and Thursday nights to decide later which one we would use because we were told they could easily fill the seats. Our dinner was so great on Wednesday that we went back on Thursday! Food was delicious, with unique preparations of many things on the menu and we were pleased with all that we had. The first night we took another couple to dinner and the second night we invited a woman taking a workshop with me down the road. Everyone loved their choices!More
The Chef came out and was charming and the food seemed to express the care they have there and we just had an exceptional time, we opted for the appetizers of Blackened Scallops , pork Dumplings , warm spinach salad , then we shared 3...desserts , excellent cocktails , you owe it to yourself if you love food and like handmade food made with care . Really a treatMore
We ate here nearly every night great food, drinks and service was excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Chef Martin had posted "Special Dinner for Two". The special included the ability to pick (2) small plates + 2 large plates and house-made truffles. The spinach salad came with cranraisins + feta cheese + dressing-fresh & delicious. The seared pair of filet mignons with...mushroom pastry, truffle, whipped potatoes, mushroom demi-glace was a very hearty entree that my husband absolutely enjoyed. I had butter-poached lobster tail with leek pastry, scallops (4), roast potatoes, fresh mint and port glaze. What a delightful way to eat lobster without the fuss. Delicious take-out meal Curbside pick-up Very safe during this time of COVIDMore
Amazing food! Thank you Chef Marc!!! I have been craving Mussels forever and I was thrilled to see you had this on the menu. It was so delicious! Ariana’s restaurant always amazes my appetite!!!
I have to agree with a fellow reviewer who says that this is the best restaurant for miles around! The husband and I came here last month and ate out on the covered patio; we had one of the nicest "date nights" we've had in...a while! Everyone was completely charming, from the young man who seated us to our wonderful server to the chef who came by to say hello. The food made me do the proverbial double-take. I am a HUGE foodie and have eaten at top restaurants all over the world, so I was delightfully surprised to find myself exclaiming to my husband, "This is real food, like chef-food, not just someone is in a kitchen food"! A friendly fellow diner recommended the corn chowder, and though that is not normally a dish with which I would be taken, we tried it and it was quite good. My personal favorite was the "flight of appetizers" which allowed me to try a number of different things-- and they were all fantastic! It sounds simple, but the warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert were so perfect that I can't recommend anything else. I also have to say that receiving a personal phone call in response to our need to change our reservation goes a long way with me as well; and delightful people plus delicious food is a combination that can't be beat! Do yourself a favor, and go to Ariana's! Maybe I'll see you there... :)More
Corn chowder was amazing. My husband’s steak was perfection as was my Caribbean spiced snapper. I loved my jalapeño margarita. The entire staff was top notch and professional. The chef even came out (wearing a mask) and walked the tables to chat very briefly. It...was a nice touch. We will most definitely return. Spectacular experience!!!More
