Our group enjoyed the broad menu of this large restaurant, located in the basement of the same building that houses a restaurant called T Bones on the upstairs of the building. The overriding influence is definitely cajun here. We enjoyed the empanadas, the blackened salmon, mahi-mahi and chicken strips. The complimentary chips and salsa were good also, with a modest... Food and atmosphere are awesome. Tasty Mexican dishes and burgers are very good. A little loud at times but a fun place for food and intetesting Margheritas!

Went late on a Saturday night for dinner. Our waiter was personable, but food took a while to come out. We munched on free chips and salsa while we waited. Our soda arrived late and the waiter said it was on the house when he brought it. Food was pretty good, but the seasoned chips were the best.

Good was good. Wait staff was friendly. Great mix of Mexican and American foods. Pricey, but it is a tourist area and not any higher than others.

We ordered some apps from the happy hour menu during the football game on Sunday. The chicken wings were very dry and sticky. It was as if they had been cooked much earlier and warmed up before they were served. They even had a burnt side to each of them suggesting they had been sitting on the grill for a... More

They had a lobster roll (special) that looked very good. My Boneless chicken platter was OK. Pricy margaritas are served in a coke glass.. Mostly ice. Not an inexpensive place. Adequate service.

Any spot that has "Don't Drink The Water" while Dave Matthews is in town-has my business! Located on the main drag, it's a must!

We eat upstairs at T-bones more, but we felt like Mexican. We visited before seeing a show at Meadowbook, so we were on a time crunch to eat before the show. We enjoyed the Red Sox on TV specials ($3.50 Sam's Summer and some good onion rings) I had a chimicanga, which seemed a little smaller than any I have... More

Loved this restaurant! loved that it had healthy alternatives on the menu, i had the fajita salad which was amazing and my husband had the chicken burrito that he said was the best he's ever had. My daughter had some of their fries that had great seasoning on them. This was my favorite restaurant while on vacation!

Description
Following the success of T-BONES, the first Cactus Jack's opened in 1995 in Manchester. In 2007, the Laconia location became New Hampshire's first dual casual dining concept - with both Cactus Jack's and T-BONES - on Lake Winnipesaukee. While it keeps up the tradition of "homemade" dishes, the look and menu at CJ's has its own style. Attentive servers are always ready to serve guests authentic Southwestern, Tex-Mex, Cajun, and barbecue dishes that are unmatched in New Hampshire.
