Pitched with a stilted, corny, repetitive speech when each party is seated is "we are tapas style place with a unique twist ...." You'll tire quickly of hearing the canned delivery around you and constant owner boasting about his golf interest. While the food is very good, the tapas bit translates to small portions at big prices, so the place... More

Very well prepared, small portions and a little on the expensive side. Very consistent food, owners are very nice people. Seems a little run down, needs a little work, I understand rustic but there are limits. I would still recommend this restaurant.

The service and food were top notch. The selections mouth watering. The setting historical and cozy. I recommend Tavern 27 anytime even for a special occasion, the atmosphere is quaint and different. We will be back!

Tavern 27 is one of two of my very favorite restaurants in the lakes region. Our most recent visit was to celebrate an anniversary. It's so hard to make choices as everything is fantastic. I really like the idea of the tapas or small dishes. It makes it so much fun to try a variety of menu items. Although I... More

I wasn't sure what to expect when we pulled into the parking lot. Upon entering, we were greeted by Emily. We chose our table in this very warm, cozy restaurant in the bar area by the picture window. We had 2 tapas plates & shared a flatbread pizza made from homemade sourdough bread. It was plenty to fill us. Do... More

A friend and I decided to go there after reading good reviews. Having read suggestions to make a reservation, we did but when we arrived, we were the only ones there. Others came later-it is after the busy season now. It was a little tricky to find but gps helped us not miss it. It is along a dark road... More

You can easily miss this place but try not to! Great interior, really friendly, good for a drink, food or both. Massive cocktails, lovely food, good service - much better than a run of the mill place you would find in Meredith!

What a wonderful way to spend an evening! We pretty much over did it on ordering. The plates were larger than the tapas I'm accustomed to and each plate was as delicious as the previous. Started with soup - a New England clam chowder and a pumpkin with curry- both excellent. Moved on to the Farmhouse Mezze plate and then... More

Visited for dinner. I wonder if we chose the wrong items, the chickpea fries were stodgy. The baked haddock bites dry and tasteless, the prawns were very large but tasted burnt and the sprouts cold. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy our meal at all.

loved the blue cheese dates and the Makers Maple cocktail. Funky atmosphere and fun tapas menu. Portions larger than typical tapas so order accordingly. Food comes out slowly as they make each order so as long as you are not in a rush you'll have a lovely evening. The piano seating section was cool. The owner visited with us and... More
