Went twice

While staying at the hotel my husband and I ate here twice. Expensive, but we're on vacation... Why not? First night, attentive on point waiter.. Didn't hover but was there at the right moment. Fresh baked bread and butter brought to the table. Baked chicken dish was good and amply portioned... read more

Restaurant is suitable for a special occasion or in our case an impromptu decision to stop in to sit and relax over a nice meal after a hectic day/week. Atmosphere is lovely and on the water. This was our first visit and was recommended by our good friends who live nearby and raved about the quality of the steaks. They... More

On New Years Eve. we almost always stay home (usually due to the inclement New Hampshire weather), and I make something fabulous for dinner. This year, the forecast predicted a mild evening, so we decided to venture out - Last New Years Eve found us enjoying a really good dinner at O's and so we decided to do it again.... More

It's a bit pricey. My clam chowder was tasty and interesting. Her mussels were cooked perfectly in a wonderful broth. My steak was tough and a bit over cooked. Her duck was a little dry, but the slaw was delicious. We waited over an hour for our entrees and the waitress and hostess apologized profusely, and took one of her... More

We have dined here twice and enjoyed both times immensely! Our visit was on a busy weekend night and the wait was long but we snagged a table at the bar and had a fun time. Our second visit was during the week and there was no wait.

Overall it was a great meal and evening. The paper bag of fresh bread is excellent. Our food was delicious, of the four of us, we all ordered steak of some sort and were all pleased with the doneness and taste of our selections. I ordered a side of onion straws and it was huge. I took the leftovers home... More

This is another gem run by chef Scott Ouellette. We are great fans of his other restaurant, Canoe, and we decided to treat ourselves to a meal at this high end steak house in (of all places) Laconia, NH. First off, the surroundings are magnificent. The room has a high ceilings, huge arched windows, and beautiful fixtures. Even the music,... More

Took some friends out for dinner. Women ordered steak which was fabulous, the guys ordered scallops. For $28 there were 3 scallops and very few ravioli. It looked like an appetizer. How can you serve 3 scallops? The guys went away hungry and my husband and I were embarrassed. We will go back but will make sure to ask about... More

We`ve been there a half dozen times over the years and all things considered mostly good, but the last time we we`re there with a party of 6, we were hustled out because another party was waiting for the table. Sure we were taking our time, but still. It`ll be a while before we go back. I also love to... More

I called on Thursday to make a reservation for Saturday night for a double date with my boyfriend and his parents for his mother's birthday. When I called the woman that answered the phone said that they were unable to make reservations for parties less than five between the hours of 6-8 but that we would be able to get... More
