We stopped in for dinner without reservations and were seated within 20 minutes, choosing this restaurant right in the heart of Keene based on reviews. French onion soup was delicious - some of the best I've had. My husband's beef briscuit taco was delicious as...well. A side of Texas toast wasn't great. The atmosphere is casual and fun. Obviously a very popular spot with wait staff that is pleasant and eager to please. I will say that we thought our waitress was wonderful; however, so did the older man of the couple sitting near us. He monopolized her with tons of personal questions that she chose to answer (nothing inappropriate, just weird), and that slowed things down considerably for us and others she was serving. I could tell you all manner of info about her personal life, but won't. Had this not been the case, I'd give five rather four bubbles, but wait staff do need to be very aware and not be consumed by overly inquisitive customers like this one, at least not when their assigned tables are full and a restaurant is so busy.More

First impressions are everything... Hostess Audrey has no concept of making customers feel welcome. She simply left us standing there without any explanation that there would be a wait. She even made the filling of our water glasses an unpleasant experience. Perhaps she should only...bus tables and not do anything else at your restaurant. Our server, Terry -- who didn't at first offer her name -- was pleasant but not in the least engaging. Thankfully, our meals were excellent, but nevertheless, we won't be back.More

Lovely lunch at the bar. Bartender was attentive and friendly during a very busy lunch service. Food was really good! Highly recommend.

Horrible! After being seated for twenty minutes and being ignored by the waitstaff, we left. Really disappointing. The lack of interest in patrons is a poor reflection on this establishment.

Loved the brunch on Sunday. The clam chowder was amazing. California spring rolls were wonderful. Our experience was pleaseant and would return without hesitation. Very clean and inviting pub atmosphere. A bit pricey, but overall we enjoyed the lunch experience after church.

We rotate Sunday brunch between a few restaurants in the area. Today with a hurricane coming, the first two we tried were closed. I guess everyone migrated to the Stage. It was busy but we decided to wait 20 minutes for a table. It was...worth the wait. After being seated we were waited on within a couple minutes. We ordered coffee and our meal at the same time. Coffee come a in couple minutes and the meals in about 10, which was very reasonable all things considered. The meals came just as we ordered (Egg Benedict with hard yolks and my eggs over easy.) The hash, home fries, bacon, and toast were well prepared. The best part was that our server Cam kept moving between 4 tables and it seemed that he kept up with everything and kept us all happy. It was a great experience on a busy day.More

My family of 4 went to The Stage and we all loved it! The waitstaff were super nice and responsive. The food was delicious, very fresh and reasonably priced. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's in a cute spot right on the common....I had the california wrap and would highly recommend.More

This is a place that you can go and eat fairly quickly or linger and enjoy the atmosphere. We were told 45-an hour wait but it ended up only being 30 min. They recommend a reservation. Our drinks we very good, I recommend the Big...Sexy Martini. 👌🏼 The calamari starter could have been a meal on its own. Beautifully soft yet crunchy and sauce was very good. My husband had the steak Morgan and licked the plate clean. I have the blackened flank steak and loved the heat leave in the sauce. Would eat there every night we loved it.More

We were on a road trip and came through Keene. We saw The Stage was open, we were at an odd time, 3pm. The menu was diverse, original, and not the same old menu you have come to expect, and we really had a tough...time choosing. I wish I could remember the right name, but I got “the noodles from Hell”, or close to that name. I wish they sold that smoky spicy sauce in jars because I would have bought a case of it! Kielbasa and chicken with a spirally type pasta in this wonderful spicy red sauce. I wish I didn’t have a 3 hour ride home because I would have loved to try one of their many martinis that just sounded Devine. Already planning my next road trip in that direction!More

We went to Keene from Portland ME specifically to eat there. We had an excellent breakfast two years ago and wanted to try dinner. We were not disappointed. I had the maple glazed brussel sprout appetizer and Morgan steak entree. My wife had the buttermilk...chicken salad. The maple syrup paired with the brussel sprouts was an interesting and tasty combination of flavors. The steak was perfectly cooked for my taste and paired with very good mashed potatoes and asparagus. My wife's salad was excellent. Our server was perfect--very attentive without being intrusive. This place is well worth a visit. There will be another visit.More

They don't have a "kids menu" but they have burgers and a fried chicken sandwich children may like.
