One of the better restaurants in Hanover, have been here several times during visits there. The ambiance isn't anything special, but the food and service are very good.
We stopped in for a glass of wine and a shared appetizer with no intention of staying for dinner. Our "it's 5 0'clock somewhere" stop turned into a leisurely evening which included two appetizers, one delicious shared entree, a spectacular dessert, and a variety of spirits. Service was outstanding, every dish we had was just right, and the live pianist... More
We eat here once every two years or so when we travel through Hanover. The food does not seem as stellar as in the past. We had a Peshawari Chicken and the pappardelle. Both were good but not spectacular. A little too light on seasoning. The guitarist was great, though and service respectable. Well-priced for what it is and crowded... More
We were staying in Lyme and had eaten at the local establishments there and were looking for something different. The Canoe Club fit the bill, the appetizers were artfully served and very good. The entree's were equally artful and also very good. The service was very good, attentive without being to much so. The live entertainment was a plus, on... More

There are only two reasons I don't dine there more often: (1) I live locally and prefer to cook for myself; (2) bowing to the increasing popularity of Mexican-type cuisine, the menu has steadily drifted toward more... This place is just ok. On the fancier side of things in the area but for the price I don't think it's worth it. I've been two dif. times - one for drinks - it was slammed hardly a place to sit - too loud - drink wasn't good at all - only had about two sips and just couldn't.... More
This is a nice restaurant in Hanover with a limited but alluring menu, comfortable atmosphere, and leisurely service. We all enjoyed our food selections, including cassoulet, gnocchi with exotic mushrooms, and a cheeseburger. Each dish was interesting and well seasoned. The restaurant offers a wide selection of wine and beer on tap. Our Monday evening visit was enhanced by MarkoMarko,... More
