Lou's is a favorite little breakfast stop for our family. The place is usually full, so it probably wouldn't work best for a huge group, but great for small families with little kidds. Homemade donuts are AMAZING! I suggest the maple-bacon. Staff is delightful and the food is wonderfully delicious. Definitely need to visit if you're in the area!

On the weekends the wait time can be long; buts so totally worth the wait!! Their homemade hash is Devine, as is their eggs Benedict! Lots of updated menu options, something for everyone. If you're in Hanover you HAVE to eat breakfast at Lou's. Oh.. Their pastries/cakes/pies are to die for too

Everyone goes to Lou's. The line moves reasonably fast, service is quick and friendly, breakfast is humongous! Plus malteds! Try to leave room for pie

There's usually a line waiting for tables here and for good reason. One clue that you've hit the real deal is that the place is frequented and popular with locals. That's always a very good sign with diners. This place is worth standing in line for a table, too! I got the Big Green breakfast and it turned out to... More

French Toast made from honey buns is a clue that this is a place for a big breakfast. Corned beef hash. Pastries. No grits.

We ate at Lou's 3 mornings in a row, being completely satisfied. Even the coffee was much better than the average breakfast joint. We came early(7:30) so all the preppies were still abed, tho a few bedraggled hikers staggered in, and of course townspeople, so there was no wait. Breakfast bountiful, served promptly with excellent service. Toast homemade, muffins awesome,... More

Lou's is exceptional. They have mastered diner food. Much of the food is from local farms, so the quality is great. The weekly specials are particularly good. The service is excellent as well. It is an extremely friendly and welcoming environment. The only negatives are that there is usually a line an they aren't open for dinner. I would be... More

Don't miss breakfast at Lou's in Hanover, NH. A local favorite in business for many years. Try the red flannel hash for a NE treat.

If you are staying or just passing though Hanover, you should definitely stop at Lou's for breakfast. Our daughter and friend are hiking the A.T. and we met them in Hanover. They heard great things on the Trail about Lou's so we stopped in for breakfast. It was super busy but we managed to get a seat pretty quickly. The... More

Over the years, I have enjoyed many breakfasts at Lou's, a favorite, local Hanover institution. My favorite is the smoked salmon with cream cheese, onion, and bagel. I usually ask for extra lemon and the waitress always obliges. In addition, the portion is always generous, so end up taking half of this meal home with me for lunch later in... More
