This was our second visit to Lou's and both occasions served up large portions of tasty breakfast food. It was a bit pricey for what was ordered but certainly worth going back!

Typical diner menu but serves a very good breakfast. Very good service and reasonable prices. Have been a few times and will keep going back when in Hanover

Enjoyed lunch here after visiting Dartmouth. Had the hot ham and cheddar sandwich and it was very tasty. Service was good and the food was fast and fresh. The milkshakes are also wonderful! Diner is small and stays busy. Not open for dinner so get there early.

I ordered the small omelet with local cheddar and spinach which was delicious and I couldn't finish it. Strawberry preserves were nice on wheat toast. Husband enjoyed blueberry muffin. Brought take out to daughter of breakfast sandwich and red velvet cupcake. She loved both

Lou's is a flashback to earlier times (opened in April 1947) and downtown Hanover is most lucky that it's still around. People not only come here to eat, but to chat, so couple those with Lou's popularity and there can be a lengthy wait time. It's best to come hungry. Oh, and toss that "I'm in a rush" attitude out... We are new to the area and this was our first visit to Lou's. We arrived at just before 11am on a Saturday and the line inside was intimidating. We thought that we would have to find brunch for our family of 4 somewhere else, but the friendly staff assured us that our wait would probably only be about 15... More

Great service, excellent Reuben sandwich. We are in Hanover for Dartmouth as part of our college search. The very friendly staff coupled with a nice meal is a pleasant respite from a long morning. Will definitely come back if we finds ourselves back at Hanover.

This establishment is a magnificent example of advertising hype; tell enough people that something is fabulous and they'll believe it. Granted that it was lunch but the wait between order and service was too long. When it arrived I was honestly astonished the amount of grease that was served with the dish. This was lunch with a colleague who wanted... More

Ate here after the July 4th celebration. I had the breakfast burrito special made with local ingredients and it was huge and tasty. Hubs had the club and it was packed with really good bacon. Friendly staff and local atmosphere. Good stop!

It's an old fashioned diner with typical diner fare. They are especially well known for their mile high pies with local fresh fruit. There is frequently a line for breakfast.
