Good service, ambiance, food. Right in the middle of this little town. Don't miss having breakfast or lunch here or sit at the counter for a cup of tea and a piece of their amazing carrot cake.

Lou's is a classic place in Hanover, where students from Dartmouth, locals and visitors gather is a small but cosy venue to have very good food. This place is perfect for breakfast. When visiting this place don't forget the bakery!

I love this spot. Whenever my dad wants breakfast out, this is our place. They have a bustling atmosphere, but the service doesn't suffer because of it. Food quality is good, try the hash. If you have a sweet tooth, check out the daily specials-- anywhere from chocolate explosion to carrot cake pancakes. Recently had to go with the classic... More

Best place in the area for breakfast and a great lunch too. There is usually a line for breakfast on the weekend from 5 to 30 minutes but very much worth it.

You Must experience Lou's brunch to be able to say you visited Hanover, NH. The food is yummy and the portions big. It is a very long wait, crowded and tight spaces; but the staff is very friendly and helpful. The coffee is the best and the deserts worth taking home, no matter how far you're going.

The food is fresh, real, tasty and the menu creative. The prices are realistic. The demeanor of the waitresses can be off-putting. Today our waitress acted like she was under strict orders not to say any of the following: "Good morning." "Please." or "Thank you." Maybe this is the culture Lou's is trying to develop -- sort of a derivative... More

We had eggs and coffee and they were good. It is a simple spot with regular old food and nice pastries. The tables are close together so we got to over hear a classic conversation by an older couple with boston accents so thick you needed a knife to cut them. Very cute spot

We stopped to look around Dartmouth on our way to Rutland, and found Lou's while we were walking around town. Fabulous food and friendly staff. We were sitting at the counter and struck up conversations with local residents, something we haven't been able to do in many of the places we have visited. Great place for a meal and dessert.

The specials were German so the adults indulged in wurst plates or sandwiches. The children were delighted with the mouse pancake. We left with a bag of cider donuts - yum.

This is a very well established eatery. We were referred to this eatery by friends in Grantham. With a little follow-up research we knew this would be a busy place but we had no idea how busy (or well-known). We money in the meter and waited about 17 minutes. Breakfast is delicious; lunch must be wonderful. She had the French... More
