We were really looking forward to the pizza however it was just OK. Great atmosphere for outside dining, beer /drink menu was great, nachos were good also and the service was really good. The issue was the pizza. We ordered two specialty ones Balsamic Veggie and Fire Pit Sausage - both sounded good. However, the flavors just did not work. The sausage one had LARGE onions on it, not caramelized and soggy. The pizza just looked brown - I did not think we got the right one until we found the really small pieces of sausage spread out. The veggie one looked great but had so much RAW garlic in it. It was so overpowering I could not eat it. If you like raw garlic it might be your thing. My daughter had a personal pepperoni and that was very good. I think just cheese or a pizza with a regular topping would be fine but that misses the point of going to a pizza place that makes speciality wood fired pizza.

This place had the best pizza. We got the steak pizza thick and cheesy. It was perfect thickness with a crunch on the bottom and chewy and soft at the same time. Super tasty. We’d go back again.

What keeps us coming back to Community Oven? Their crispy wood fired crust, of course. During this past visit the atmosphere was lively and we loved sitting outside on their patio for a delicious pie and drinks. Our waitress was quick and friendly. We’ve never had bad service here. The ingredients are fresh with plenty of options. My favorite is the PPM (Pepperoni, Peppers and Mushrooms) mainly because their pepperoni slices are gigantic and unique to this area. In addition to pizza they also serve sandwiches, salads, and delicious appetizers. I personally have never had anything but pizza but I am sure the other food is great as well.

I would have given more "stars" and enjoyed the meal ten-fold, but I was extremely disappointed. We ordered two dishes. One was a Caprese Salad. It has three ingredients (lettuce, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes). What a drag when one third of the ingredients is sub-standard. Our other dish was a Marguerita Pizza, with a few extra toppings. Again, the "fresh tomatoes" were more like greenish tomatoes. I will note that the crust was thin and excellent. Other ingredients on this pizza made it good, but we had to remove the tomatoes. How can a pizza place not pay attention to such a detail? How can a produce purchaser accept tomatoes that have not ripened? How is it that in the month of August, in NH, when tomatoes are at their peak season, they are slicing and serving inedible tomatoes? The server did not come around to ask how we were doing. She did not pay attention enough to notice that we picked every tomatoe out of our dishes. Oh, the atmosphere...it was entirely too loud. The volume of the music was too high, and the guests were all shouting at one another. This was a truly disappointing dinner.

We love going to the Oven for pizza. Definitely the best pizza on the Sescoast, but..... They need to change their policy of NOT including the beer prices on their daily beer list. Management takes the time to constantly update and print a draft beer list for their patrons, which is a quite extensive and quality list. It includes beer name, brewery, and the ABV %. Why can't management include the price? Why does it have to be a surprise when the bill comes? Would a customer order a pizza without knowing the price? Of course not. So why are they forced to order a draft beer without knowing the price? (unless you ask, which is a real pain) Make it easy for your customers to order a beer. I would think there are, or should be rules and laws requiring the restaurant to include beverage pricing. We go there quite often and it is very frustrating that a customer doesn't know what the cost of their beverage is before ordering. Simply add 1 more piece of information to the beer list. Do this, and i will rate the Oven 5 every time i visit, without prejudice.

We had dinner at Community Oven Pizza that is located in a strip mall in Hampton, New Hampshire. The no-frills restaurant is very large and shares its space with a game room and bar. Service was friendly and attentive. We ordered a 16 inch cheese pizza ($19) with extra cheese and pepperoni. We watched the pizza dough being tossed in the air, stretched and sauced with toppings before being baked in the large brick oven. The pizza was good with a thin chewy crust – the tomato sauce was flavorful and the cheese had nice stretch.

A local man recommended this place so we ordered a pizza to go. Worst pizza we ever had. We ordered a large pizza and it was $30! There was almost no sauce and almost no cheese. The toppings were sparse and tasteless and the crust was carboard. It was small for a large pizza but tasted so bad we didn't want more. Do not give them your business - you'll be very disappointed if you do.

Went for a quick pizza on a Friday early eve. Yes it was busy, pizza came out burnt, large black spots on it. They actually served this and then the meat had hard grizzle I had to take out of my mom while chewing. Has to be better pizza around. Sorry but I was very disappointed for that price.

Community oven has changed over the years. It used to be a clean restaurant, pizza was amazing. But both cleanliness and food have declined significantly. Booth tables feel sticky there are crumbs on tables, seats and window sills, not to mention the shades that you pull down they are dirty as well they have food and drink stains. Last time we went with another couple we were seated at a booth and waited half an hour for service. We had to get up and ask if anyone was coming to our table. Finally a waitress came she apologized took our order. We ordered three pizzas . Our drinks and two pizzas came except for one pizza which we had to ask our waitress about. She said they had not made it yet. Another time my husband and I were there for dinner and the drink menu was filthy I ask a staff member if they could give us another as this one was disgusting. Needless to say the restaurant has gone down hill over the years. We are local and will have to find another pizza place.

We were at the brewery next door and then went to have pizza.... we ordered the steak bomb, the chicken bacon ranch and the pickle pizza. All of them were excellent- really surprised by the pickle pizza, it was delicious! Some in our party had cocktail/ drinks and they all said they were good. Would go back....

Awesome pizza and salads, A great appetizer selection and variety of beer and drinks. A great place for a family get together or date night. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun. Don't miss this place while you're on the NH seacoast.

Have tried to write a review of a mediocre experience , 2 star at best, but stymied to the point it's now a one. Food bland, price point long out of touch with quality. I can and will, going forward, produce equivalency of previous happy experiences here, at home going forward. Feeling Poe-esque...nevermore. Dave B.

I had high hopes this restaurant would be a good spot for gluten free pizzas while my mom and I were on vacation. Upon sitting down we were immediately greeted with a rude server who was extremely irritable with us the entire time. The first thing we told her was we both have to eat gluten free due to celiac disease and need two gluten free menus. We were only given one gf menu. Every question I asked she was short and condescending. For example I asked if the aloha pizza used deli meat ham or ham off the bone and she responded as if that was stupid to ask ? Once they arrived my mom’s pizza was not the gluten free one it was regular and the server proceeded to say we didn’t specify that we needed gf. Silverware and plates were not given to us until I was about half way done with my pizza and they were set at the end of the table in a stack. We had to wait for my mom’s gf pizza to be made although they corrected it within 15 min they would not comp the meal for their mistake. I understand everyone makes mistakes but we could not have been more clear. If I didn’t see the pizzas didn’t look the same my mom would have been hospitalized. The pizzas itself tasted good but I wouldn’t ever recommend this restaurant due to this service given.

Second time eating here. Pizza with meat on it was awesome! You have you try the oven nachos too! Wish we had this restaurant where we lived. We will definitely be back on our next trip through the Hampton area!
