Shane’s has become one of our favorite local take out joints. Until recently, we hadn’t dined in. The restaurant did not seem busy until we were leaving but there is more than enough room to spread out. Our waitress was very kind and the other employees we interacted with were eager to take care of their guests. The menu is extensive and priced right. My husband loves their various meat plates, his favorite being their smoked brisket. I always tell myself that I will try something new but I always order their BBQ Chicken Sandwich. The flavor isn’t as spicy as I would like (it is a sweeter sauce) but the meat is always tender and the buns are fresh and fluffy. Next time, Im promising myself that I will try their full sized Mac and Cheese entree since I am a huge fan of their side portion. The restaurant has a stage for bands, a full open bar, pool tables, and darts. While the drink menu was small they were happy to make anything we were craving. We will be back during the warmer months when the atmosphere is more lively.

The menu is expensive. Entree plates run between $25-$35 for barbecue . The bar is also pricy .For example , a 16 ounce fiddlehead is $ 11. A 1/2 keg of Fiddlehead costs a restaurant $165 . There are 64 +\- sixteen ounce beers in a keg. When doing the math , thats a 350 -400% up charge on the beer. A plate of barbecue for one. with two beers that includes tip will run a diner $60 +. This is very excessive for casual dining . I will definitely go back . Just not as frequently.

Went on a Monday night after 7pm. Right when we walked in we were greeted with a big hello from the staff behind the bar whom in turn was also the server. We were given food menus as well as drink menu. The server informed us of daily specials and also explained the menu and their sauces. We decided to try a little of all the meats. We order a "Wayno" which is 1/2 pound of 2 meats and 2 sides. We also decided to get 1/2 pound of 2 other meats as well. The brisket just melts in your mouth. The smoked turkey is so juicy and falls right apart. Pulled chicken came in a sauce and it was not too sweet but just enough. The sausage links were cooked to perfection. You definitely have to try their corn bread with their specific butter that they supplied. We also had some mac and cheese, which was very cream and some potato salad which had some kind of seasoning that popped. Our son wanted is to get him loaded mac and cheese with bacon to go. He ate it later on and asked if we could go back and get him more. Everything we had was excellent and we plan on going back whenever we are in the area.

They advertise their prime rib from noon until 9pm. When I get there after a lengthy drive I was told it is not served until 4pm and it's always been that way. So I settle for the brisket which is so dry it is wrapped in paper to go. The baked beans were so undercooked they were crunchy. You don't even get a piece of cornbread like most reputable BBQ restaurants. There are less expensive and better quality BBQ restaurants in the area.

Food is average to below, the service is horrible. This is our second attempt at this place, the best thing it has going for it is that it smells great, but that is about it. The food is bland, serving size is average. We ordered takeout but discovered when we got home they forget the ribs we ordered, to make matters worse when we called back to inform them they practically accused us of trying to swindle them!..... I will say that the brisket although fatty was ok, and the ribs although bland had at least had the membrane removed this time (unlike the last time). I held off on trashing this place before as I hoped they might improve, but clearly they have not.

Went here for BBQ and was very disappointed. High prices for very little food. This isn't a fancy steak house but they charge you like it is. Small portions. You come in hungry and you leave hungry. The only thing is place is good for is your looking for a bar fight as they over serve their patrons until they are falling off the bar stool. Walk around the corner to a better restaurant.

This was disgusting, pork was salty, and bland and just so awful. My daughter who loves pulled pork, took two bites and that was all she could muster. I did the pulled pork with bacon and Mac and cheese sandwich and only ate about half of it. My wife had a flavorless bland pork belly taco. Never again, just so nasty

My husband and I took our daughter out for lunch, and we’ve been wanting to try Shane’s Tex Mex which they’ve had going since restaurants have been allowed to reopen. The patio is such a festive joyful place, I immediately thought it would be a fun place for family celebrations. Our lunch was fantastic- we had tacos that rival another place in Portsmouth, but I love being able to get such great BBQ and tacos right here in Hampton. We especially loved the Salty Cowboy tacos: excellently executed pork belly, super fresh sriracha shrimp, mandarins, pineapple, cilantro, onions. We also had creamed corn which was very flavorful and delicious. Our server was friendly, professional, and efficient. The food came out quickly. I can’t recommend Shane’s highly enough.

Enjoyed large rib portions (dry-rubbed) with good side dishes. The service was friendly and helpful in explaining various choices. Bar choices are limited; neither of our 2 first choices were not available. There are other menu choices so go even if ribs are not your thing, The decor is basic but probably appropriate for a ribs restaurant. Limited parking.

We went for lunch. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside in their "back yard". It was so cute! It's been decorated by local artists with bright paintings. Looks like a really fun place for a happy hour or private event. Food was pretty good although the menu online didn't match what was given to us when we sat down so that was a little confusing since we had already decided what we thought we wanted before arriving.

Disappointing and a rip off. We started with nachos which was a mistake. We ended up getting a few Tostitos from the bag covered with melted cheese, and we added a protein, brisket, which is good. But absolutely nothing else on the plate just Tostitos, melted cheese, brisket. 17 bucks! $13 without the pro Tien. I've had better sitting on the couch in front of the TV at home won't do that again.

My wife and I had dinner here and it did not compare well with several other barbeque places in NH we have been. Dry and not well flavored: ribs, brisket, chicken. Sorry to say, but I won't return. My favorite - and worth the trip - is Smokehaus on Rt 101 on Bedford/Amherst line.

Been to this place a couple of times, thought the food was very good and a good value. Brought a couple of friends and they liked it to. Good place to go so you don't have to deal with the scrum at the beach, but it is close to it.

We came in for the two for one burger special and we thought great burgers! Sometimes places use premade but these were genuine juicy burgers! We ate outside and thought what a nice vibe and then a band playing Otis Redding and the Stones. We will be back!

Tasty BBQ options - by the pound or with plates and sandwiches. Also sometimes has live music and has bar with draft selection
