We booked this based on recommendations on the TA New Hampshire forum and were thrilled. They contacted us to change the reservation time by 15 minutes and to let us know that due to staffing issues they were only doing Prix Fixe, and told us...the menu and we were IN. We showed up right on time and they knew our name -- I think they only do one reservation every 15 minutes. Bread and veggie plate was delicious Great salad with plump tomatoes and blueberrie Entree options were Halibut (she had that), Mushroom something, or Tenderloin (I had that). $55 for the first two, $60 for the beef. Fish was excellent, steak was perfect. Sides were amazing. Dessert was a deep dark chocolate mousse with a great lace cookie. This would easily be double the price in NYC and not far away in a Boston space. GO!More

We came in for takeout in early December and were blown away. We had Brussel sprouts, a duck pasta dish, and Cambodian noodles. The quality of all three meals was outstanding. The duck pasta was especially well made - including handmade pasta which was prepared...perfectly. The portions were very generous and the price was very fair. I can tell this place takes great pride in their food. When I came in to pick it up, the woman who helped me (owner maybe?) took great care to ensure that our takeout meal was kept warm until we arrived, and packed tightly so nothing would get jostled or leak. Your commitment to your work did not go unnoticed tonight. We can’t wait for the pandemic to be over so we can get the full in-person experience.More

What a perfect evening, both the food and the atmosphere. Outside dining. Great music and service. And above all - unique dishes, combinations of Moroccan and Vietnamese, fish and meats, pastas and salads - and perfect cocktails

Fabulous food and drinks - calamari, thai green curry, Cambodian noodles. The setting was too lovely for words and given covid condtions, this place hit it out of the park. We will make a trip back to Gorham for this restaurant.

Amazing food in tiny town. Who knew? Mussels, pho, curry. Great house salad. Awesome drinks. Pretty garden setting. Couldn't ask for more.

Food and service were outstanding! They created a wonderful and romantic dining area outside. They obviously put a lot of effort into making a wonderful dining experience inspite of the current pandemic. They went above and beyond to create their outdoor space.

The best restaurant in the Mount Washington area isn't in North Conway; it's in quiet but up-and-coming Gorham. We'd discovered Libby's Bistro (or Saalt) on a previous visit to the Whites and were happy to come back here twice on our latest hiking trip. The...bar has an excellent beer selection (and fantastic-looking cocktails), and the menu is at once sophisticated and very satisfying: from the delicious duck confit on the French board, to the luscious Cambodian noodles with meat sauce, to great salads, to eclectic specials like Buffalo cauliflower and artichokes. We've never had room for dessert, but we saw some pretty fantastic-looking treats being served. Whether you're a vegan or a meat lover, you'll do great here. Highly recommended!More

Libby’s and Saalt are the same place. Julia Childs once said this was one of her favorite restaurants in NH. It’s a quirky and eclectic decor but a cool place. The menu is unique, super local, and naturally sourced. We shared the French mussels and...the French Acadian board. When it comes out it seems small but it ends being pretty filling. The board is pretty unique with a crispy pork, delicious chutney and flavorful poutine. The beans were unlike any baked beans I’ve had but were very good. The mussels were fresh and the broth we ate as a soup when finished. It was all super quality and very flavorful. About 18-23 a person. Their house burger is decent and $13. Get there as it opens or have long wait times. Eat here if in Gorham.More

I have been to this spot at least once every week since June when I moved back to the area from California. I have tried nearly every regular menu item and a few specials as well. The menu changes seasonally and throughout the week to...make best use of fresh local ingredients. Both modern bar fare and fine dining options are represented on the same slate. Excellent craft and classic cocktails with local distilleries and Italian spirits well represented. The beer list is small but curated to show off some of the very best local beers both on draft and in a few select cans and bottles. Highlights this summer included Lawson’s Finest, Collective Arts, Hill Farmstead and Schilling. Adjacent to the dining room in the same building is a bar and less formal dining space that is walk in only (Saalt Pub). Back to the food though. Every dish is a delight, and it’s fun to sit at the bar and listen to the out of town folks lose their minds over the quality. Last week a guy and his wife booked another night in their hotel to just to have dinner here again! You really can’t go wrong. I hadn’t ordered eggplant in a restaurant in 20 years and have had their eggplant dish three times. Specials like cognac and red wine braised duck, and rabbit tagliatelle are incredible. Make no mistake this place could kill in any metro area, but it’s north of the notch in Coos county NH. Starters are $6-8 with mains running $12-22 with an occasional special in the low $30 range. Incredible olive oil cake and a hand pulled espresso usually finish my nights here. These guys close down for a few weeks each spring and fall (after foliage season of course) and are closed Monday and Tuesday. Plan accordingly so as not to miss this foodie oasis in a desert of freezer to fryer options!More

We had dinner at Libby’s bistro. It was very pleasant meal. The service was excellent and the setting was very nice. We split two small plates and a main course. All of which were good. We had a broccoli eggplant dish, a vegetarian form of...fritters and a pasta dish. The restaurant offers a large variety of choices.More
