I love this cafe. I visit here very often. They have excellent coffee, tea, and wonderful breakfast/lunch menu selection suitable to all types of eaters. They also have a wonderful book selection for all ages, as well as games for traveling children and local authors as well. They have all manner of traveling/hiking mugs and water bottles. They even have a wonderful selection of stickers and decals. I buy unique gifts for my friends here. The service is always excellent and friendly.

I had the opportunity to return to my favorite bookstore cafe in Gorham and sample their gluten-free strawberry layer cake (still prefer the chocolate) and discovered they now have three outdoor tables by the small river behind the cafe. Another reason to love this place! The GF vegan sandwich was delicious and hearty, and the toast didn't fall apart in your hands, which often happens with GF bread. No indoor dining during pandemic.

I was 15-miles into a 75-mile ride when I stopped here for a 10:30 refuel. Knowing that I'd be churning through calories for many more hours, I loaded up on baked goods to consume throughout the day and set my sights on a breakfast burrito to go. As I waited for the burrito, I poked around the book store. Then, I waited some more. The place was not too busy, so I started to wonder what was taking extra time. When the burrito finally arrived from the kitchen, I wondered no more. This was a serious, two-fisted feast that not your typical roll-n-goal. I ate half before departure and saved the remainder for my lunch. It was big and yummy. Five stars are deserved by this place.

Decided to stop here early morning for a take-out breakfast while hiking in the area. They took my order quickly and then I waited for a bit but came out hot and decent tasting. The menu is limited but It was nice to see vegetarian, GF etc options for dishes that actually sounded appetizing. Prices average. Very small space inside which is mostly the book/gift store and a few tables outside. ( Staff may be busy but it is ok to be pleasant and friendly.)

Because you will be waiting over 30 minutes for your 2 sandwich order to be completed and there is absolutely no place to sit. Soggy sandwich with processed turkey and sauerkraut off the shelf. Not worth the wait and definitely not worth the price.

We have been coming here for breakfast for years and unfortunately just realized today they do NOT use fresh cracked eggs. They use these premade “egg patties” that are likely filled with soybean oil like the ones you can get at fast food places. Very disappointed as we thought we were eating whole eggs. Good coffee though!

The coffee here was excellent! A little bit of a wait, but everything was fresh and hot. I enjoyed exploring the well curated bookstore while waiting. Lots of maps and hiking/trail books for those visiting the White Mountains. We took a thanksgiving sandwich to go and ate it at an overlook on Kancamas Highway for lunch. Wonderful experience!

We were looking for a quick breakfast so we stopped by and grabbed a couple veggie wraps and coffees. The wraps were huge and really loaded in a nice fresh wrap. The coffee was great and the prices extremely reasonable. Makes me wish this place was close to home.

Tried the local place instead of a chain restaurant directly next door and wasn’t disappointed! Got a breakfast burrito and a bagel on day 1. Went back again on day 2 and ordered a egg sandwich and bagel again. Coffee was hot and fresh, Highly recommend. Keep it local and support small business!

Our 2nd time- we had visited in September, loved it so we returned in December. Great coffee, food and books. Delicious pastries. Sandwiches including veg options. The place is small but the books are curated so there’s a nice selection of locally-relevant books, maps, guide books etc as well as a few souvenirs and gift items. There’s outdoor seating for slightly warmer weather.

This place is awesome, great breakfast foods and a nice selection of lunch sandwiches. It has seating available inside or outside along a river. We went for the outside seating along the river. It is extremely peaceful.

We stopped here after spotting the 'coffee' sign as we drove through the White Mountains on a grey and damp Saturday late morning. The coffee was really good and the choice of breakfast sandwiches and panini, and the type of bread selection, was very extensive. Our turkey, cheddar, avocado and mayo panini was delicious. And more than large enough for two to share! The serving staff were super friendly and unflappable despite it being busy.

What a cute place. Not only was my coffee and breakfast sandwich delicious but I spent a copious amount of time looking at books/unique trinkets.
I picked up some nature meditation cards to share with my grandchildren on our daily walks, and some yoga cards for things to do inside (during all these rainy days). Both were hits.
