Terrible terrible brunch. Astronomical prices! Beyond slow service.. they got our orders wrong… the kitchen forgot my eggs on my eggs Benedict.. it wasn’t busy. Home fries with no seasoning just deep fried cubes… save your money

Was quiet, but an early Tuesday. I was quickly greeted. I had the clam chowder and lobster roll with a side salad. Great food and atmosphere!

I made reservations for the Easter brunch about one month before Easter. We were seated very close to the Hostess station so there was a constant stream of people coming and going around the table. The first thing our waitress said to us was that...we only had one hour to eat before the next group would be arriving. The meal felt rushed and it didn't feel like a special occasion at all: no table cloth, paper cups for the coffee and there was a hair in my desert. It was way overpriced and has put me completely off going back to eat at the restaurant.More

Yummy but would have liked a bit more attention from our waitress. All of the brunch items were delicious, would have liked the option for a toaster so my bagel could be toasted and wanted another drink but waitress was scarce

Visited while staying at the hotel for a last minute getaway… popped in for a cocktail before reservations elsewhere and stayed for the most amazing buffalo brussel sprouts!! Great Aperol spritz, ambiance and service. Made our quick kid-free night even better!!!

Ate dinner here twice during our stay (we stayed at the Inn making it very convenient). Surprisingly not a lot of fine dining to be found in Exeter from what we could see. First, reservations are a must. Like most places we encountered on our...New England swing, staffing is a challenge and you can expect long waits. Our hostess was very nice. Prices are very reasonable. For one dinner we ordered their Simple Chicken (a chicken breast grilled, with roasted potatoes and mushroom side). It was exactly what I needed after a couple of weeks of heavy fried seafood. Wife had their burger which was excellent. Fries were very good. For our second night wife had the Fish Tacos which she raved on and I had the New York Strip steak. The steak was very good. Finished that (well started it) with a wonderful Root Beer Float. Certainly worth the wait and would recommend for your dinner out.More

Excellent service, even though they were short-handed. My husband & I shared the white bean hummus appetizer, it was outstanding. My mussels were lovely, his steak was only OK.

Had a wonderful dinner. We had never been to Exeter and this pub is lovely and comfortable. They were busy on a Tuesday night with just 2 wait staff but our server did a great job getting our orders and drinks quite quickly. Shishito peppers...were perfect and every entree was tasty, piping hot, and a good sized portion. I would definitely eat here again.More

Every December my friends and I do an ornament exchange followed by dinner at Epoch. I enjoy Epoch throughout the year but there’s something extra special about the place around the holidays. Even though the dining room and bar were packed last Friday night, service...was friendly and attentive. I started with a “Catcher in the …” cocktail which was a delicious rye concoction, made extra delicious by the fact that a portion of the proceeds from the drink sale is being donated to the local Rotary Club. I love that the new menu has a nice assortment of small plates and I chose two of them for my entree. The Shrooms & Belly is insanely good. The mushrooms are flavorful and the pork belly is rich and crisp. The pickled turnip balanced the dish so that it’s not overly indulgent. My second small plate was the Roasted Corn Arancini which is a delicious spin on the traditional arancini. The paprika gives the rice a warmth and light smokiness that compliments the roasted corn nicely. For dessert I had the not to be missed Sticky Toffee Pudding. Served warm with Memories vanilla ice cream, it was the perfect end to our holiday meal. I’ll definitely be back again soon- maybe to try one of the new igloos they have set up in the courtyard!More

I went there with a group to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a reservation, but waited a little while for a spot to open up on the patio (first come, first serve). It wasn't a problem though as we had the charming outdoor fire...pit area with adirondack chairs and string lights to wait. From the moment we sat down, it was a wonderful experience - the service was fantastic (attentive without being overbearing), and everything we ordered on the menu was fabulous. My group shared the fries, ceasar salad, lamb meatballs, and shishito peppers, to start. I ordered the chicken under a brick and goat cheese polenta for my entree. The appetizers were a little smaller than expected (except the salad, which was very generous), but the entree portions are huge (everyone in my group took about half home with them). For those wanting a covid safe spot to dine out at, this was ideal - well lit with string lights, comfy outdoor chairs, and a covered top (it started raining while we were there, but did not even notice). One more thing - they had no problem with us bringing a cake to cut and provided plates, a knife to cut, candles and a lighter. We're all looking forward to going back!More

Dined outside at Epoch - perfect for those with covid concerns. The server was EXCELLENT. She was charming and attentive - contributing to a great evening. Food was unusual and scrumptious. Feasted on heritage tomatoes and burrata and some astouding johnny cakes. Mushroom ragout and...pasta were other fine dishes. We ended with peach dessert and an amazing sticky toffee pudding. Our thanks to the staff (host helped us locate the ideal table), cheerful server and those that efficiently brought our dishes to our table.More
