A great selection of delicious food entrees to choose from off the menu. The desserts were homemade. I had the vanilla ice cream which was excellent.

So glad you enjoyed the salad and crab cakes - but sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the Shepherd's Pie. Usually our only "complaint" is that sometimes it's too hot. But nonetheless, thanks for the feedback and I hope we have you back again. Enjoy...More

I brought my wife here for Mother's Day dinner (we couldn't do any brunches as would be the usual) based on previous experiences here, and once again we were not disappointed. We ordered the appetizers (golden beet salad for my wife, clam cakes for me)...from the special menu and neither of us was disappointed. For entrees, my wife selected the coulotte steak while I chose the fettucine bolognase special;. We were both completed satisfied with the choices that we made. For dessert (which we had room for), my wife chose the canolli cone with chocolate chips and I selected the key lime pie. We both thought we had made the better choice. The meal was served with a sweet bread (cranberry and chocolate chip) and italian bread which were both good. Add in soda and a glass of prosecco and a cup of coffee, and the total price before tax and tip was about $82. The wine itself was $16 so I would suggest avoiding that if you want to cut down the cost; the rest of the meal was very reasonable. Overall, a very good choice for a quiet (if eating in the dining room and not the pub) meal.More

Maybe we were there on an off-night, because our experience doesn't match most of the reviews for the Palmer House Pub. The service was very good, and pub and dining room decor are great. However, none of our six meals (steak, mac and cheese, risotto,...bolognese special, salad) were anything but passable. A real bummer at nearly $40/per person.More

What more can I say? This place has it all ,including a very cool bar dog, namely Monty. The dining room has an extensive menu both creative as well as delicious. The pub menu follows a similar path, just a bit more basic. The also...have a monthly opera night dinner and show that fills up early , get a reservation if you can, you won’t forget it. .More

Even if you are not going to a Stone Mountain concert here is a solid choice for dinner. Service is excellent. Ambiance is very warm. Seating in the pub can be crowded but on none concert nights the dining room is less so. The fines...are very good (Cabernet and Pinot for instance). Shepard's pie is excellent. Pork is well flavored but the meat a bit tough.More

My husband and I have a seasonal place and try to make it to dinner here at least 2-3 times a year which we've been doing for about 10 years. We don't go often, yet it stays consistent in the quality and service as it...has been from the first time we ever went. The food is always good, sometimes really, really good. The atmosphere is great and the waitstaff never fail to make you feel special. Great local place, reasonably priced and consistently good and tasty. The host Monty, (the Inn dog) was just a pup when we first started going and we always ask for him. He's an elder dog now but he still tries to greet guests when he is able. We always have a dessert which is always good. However, once in while they make a special desert that's just a little different. One of the most memorable ones was a soda cracker pie. If it was on the menu, I'd eat it every time we go!!! Nice job keeping a great local pub, you never cease to make us happy.More

She requested this for her birthday dinner. She also invited her girlfriend and spouse. We made a reservation for Saturday night at 6 pm in the restaurant not the pub. When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant but the Pub was full....Shortly after we were seated one other person was seated 2 tables away from us. We saw no other guests in the restaurant until we left at 9pm. Our waitress came by after we had been seated for 10 minutes and informed us that she was pregnant, although she didn't look like it. She got our drink order and 20 minutes later they arrived. At this point she stated that she was also working in the Pub. This later turned out to be an excuse for poor service, I believe. After 30 minutes she returned to take our order. She reviewed the specials and you would have thought that if they were out of anything this would be a good time to let us know. My wife ordered the Short Ribs that were on the menu and was promptly informed that they were not available. The other couple also ordered something off the menu and was told that was no longer available either, I don't remember what it was. Then we waited approx 40 minutes for the meal to arrive and when it did arrive we had food items that were cold. No one wanted to send anything back because we had waited so long for it to arrive but I insisted and after 10 minutes I finally found our waitress and had her come back to the table. Everyone's potato dish went back as well as a couple of orders of vegetables. No one would give up their main dish as they were all warm enough to eat but none were hot. When we had first looked at the menu I had noticed Key Lime pie for dessert and commented that I would be ordering that . When it came time to order desert and I asked for it I was informed that they were out of it. This seems to be their SOP. Instead of telling you up front what is available they wait to see if you order it and then tell you it is not available. So basically it ate up 3 hours of my time for no service and poor food. I won't repeat.More

Traveling north, we stopped for dinner at the Pub. We were greeted warmly by locals when we entered, which is refreshing. The pub is very cozy but not crowded. The food was excellent. I had housemate mac and cheese with slab bacon that was more...than I could eat. My golf partner had shepherd's pie that he loved. He also had the housemade coffee ice cream which he finished without offering to share. The waitress was welcoming and enthusiastic about the food and the pub. It was a very comfortable stop which I would go out of my way to make again. Good comfort food a step above most other places.More
