Went for Lobster Rolls, Fries & Onion Rings We really enjoyed our first visit of the season. Lobster roll was nicely toasted, onion rings were cut nice & thin & very tasty. Fries could have been crisper but could have been the takeout Box was closed so the weren’t quite as crisp but all in all it was a nice meal, great view. So happy they are open! They have quite a few picnic tables set up with disinfectant spray & paper towels to clean it at each one. You call in your order and they bring it out to your vehicle.

Just had my first (and second) lobster roll of the season - it is better than I remember. The hot buttered is executed perfectly - roll toasted and buttered and crunch, lobster sweet (and lots of it). Can't wait to go back next weekend.

Easily the best lobster roll in N.H. This hidden gem in Campton is well worth the drive if you’re anywhere near the White Mountains. The setting is beautiful, including Covid-friendly picnic tables. The lobster roll is perfection - lightly dressed on a roll worth eating. The only hard part is choosing between the fries and onion rings. The staff couldn’t be any friendlier. GO NOW before the season ends on Columbus Day or you’ll have to wait til next year.

This place was so charming and lovely! We ate "inside" the treehouse which has a deck overlooking the forest scenery. The place was so darling with string lights and epoxy'd wood tables that I didn't have high expectations of the food. All the food we received was top notch! Their traditional cold lobster roll was probably the better ones I've had. The fish and chips had fresh fish that was cooked to perfection. Their fries were amazing! I loved it all! So thankful we found this place! Will be back again next time we're in town!

Went for our first Lobster Roll of the season and didn’t disappoint. I had the traditional cold lobster roll and my friend had the hot buttered one. Lots of lobster stuffed into a toasted Roll. Fries and onion rings were good too. Lovely view, friendly staff and great food. They are in Campton right on Route 3, only a few miles north of Plymouth. Homemade lemonade too was good too!

My wife & I have been to the Schoolhouse a few times and have loved the place every time: A pleasant country spot with Pemi & Mtn Views, a great Staff and excellent Seafood. Prices seem high to many people but we know Clams & Scallops well and have no complaint on price. We drove up about 75 miles this sunny day for my wife's Birthday Luncheon, arriving early afternoon with the parking lot filling up. At the restaurant counter, we were greeted by a friendly Staffer who had the answers to all my usual questions. We ordered Fried Dinner Plates of Whole Belly Clams and Sea Scallops, each with Fries and Cole Slaw. I forgot to order their excellent Fried Onion Rings appetizer but found the same Staffer quickly and she regretted they had no ORs this day. For drinks, they have a nice Beer assortment but I chose a Root Beer and my wife free tasty Water (as I had a long drive home). Our plates arrived at our comfortable semi-inside table in good time after the alarm gadget went off. I want you to know that the quality of the Clams & Sea Scallops were both 5-Star, the delicious Fries were more than plentiful, and the homemade Coleslaw was OKay. However, the Bad News is that my wife's plate had a total of 5 Sea Scallops and my plate contained maybe 8 Fried Clams. While I told Staffers on our way out that each plate was absolutely delicious, the servings were simply "Appetizer Level" at an Entree Price. The saving item to satisfy our hunger was an excellent Ice Cream & Hot Brownie Sundae dessert. The whole Sundae was large & delicious. I'm sorry that I have to give The Little Red Schoolhouse what I consider a poor grade at 3-Stars. As I trout fish a lot in the area, I'll give them one more chance with an inexpensive Fish & Chips or Fried Haddock Plate before their October closing. We'll See ...

I have been going here since the first week they opened years ago. I have always loved it. We drive 45 minutes each way to have an early dinner several times throughout the summer season. This was our first time this year, as they just opened. I have always had the lobster roll or seafood platter. Tonight I had the lobster roll. It was so disappointing. The meat was just tiny bits, no claws or chunks and very little of it. It was especially disappointing because when we arrived the person taking our order said she would check if they still had enough lobster meat for a roll and if I could get one. The cook said something like barely. I told them I didn’t want it if there wasn’t enough, but they said it was ok. I am not one to complain while there. I probably should have in hindsight. My husband had the fried scallop plate - 6 small scallops and somewhat soggy fries ( same with my fries). It was such a disappointment for over $60 with tip. I know food prices are up, but when you can’t count on your favorite seafood place to get it somewhat “right,” it is such a letdown. I’ll probably give them another try, but it’s going to be a while.

Hello eccomi3, Thank you for your feedback. We absolutely value your input! We frankly agree with your assessment of the lobster. The meat we purchased, in our first round of of ordering this year, was not of the quality we anticipated, and is not up to our standards that we aim to consistently provide to our loyal customers, like yourself. Not being open year-round, we have had this issue upon start-up before. It sometimes takes a couple orders to reestablish where the best lobsters are coming from (from which boat/region/waters) . We have just received a shipment from a different source and upon inspection, it is much MUCH more in keeping with our standards, We will monitor the quality closely to ensure we are serving the best lobster (and other seafood) that we possibly can. If it is not up to our standards (and sometimes the quality changes as lobsters migrate through different regions that they are harvested from) we will continue to look to improve. We also agree with your input on the fries. We used a potato that is not the quality we intend to serve. This too is in the process of being remedied. We are somewhat surprised by the scallops, as we thought the quality has been very good, but nonetheless we will watch the same very closely. We truly do aim to please and hate it when we fall short. As the owner, I would love to discuss further and invite you back for a better experience. Feel free to reach out to me. Corey Smith 603 733 8037 Thank you again for your feedback.

Finally opened, and as good as I expected. It is a little pricey, but the food, hospitality and gorgeous mountain views are worth it. Very good seafood choices and exceptionally good homemade onion rings.

Have been going here for years and love this place and love the food. I understand that prices have gone up significantly and was willing to spend the (about $27.00, probably $30.00 total) for only the fried clam platter but regretted the decision after. Clams were good but the portion was very small - for this size of clams, french fries, and pretty small side of cole slaw (which wasn't to my liking), should have been about $15.00, $18.00 tops.

As a self proclaimed burger enthusiast, I’m always scoping the landscape in search of the perfect burger, but little did I know that my quest would lead me to such an incredible burger experience. The burger in question, an unassuming masterpiece, tucked away in a cozy corner of my town, has left an indelible mark on my palate and memory. Without a doubt, the After School Bacon & Jam burger has earned the coveted title of the best burger I’ve ever had.

The atmosphere on the main level is good. The table tops are live edge which is always a pleasure to see. Just feels good. The food was very good as usual. We ordered fried scallops, a cheesesteak, and fish and chips. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Would recommend. Ps. We don’t recommend sitting upstairs in the roof level. We tried it, but it smelled like tar and grease, so we went back downstairs, which is much more pleasant.

Lobster roll was excellent $34. Onion rings were over cooked for my taste Coleslaw was pretty good The atmosphere was different but in a good way. Still getting to be a pet peeve of mine is when you order at a counter and have to pick it up then why are they pushing the credit card machine towards you looking for a tip. Last time im tipping
