The public rooms of the hotel are all about looking at Mt Washington and adjacent peaks. And we were fortunate to see them at their best last week. The room was very comfortable, even with a petite bathroom. Lunch on the glassed in porch was quite tasty. We didn't eat dinner on premises, so can't comment. Our breakfast plans were... More

Stopped off on a road trip through the mountains and was pleasantly surprised that the public could walk in to this opulent hotel and purchase drinks and snacks and use the facilities. The surrounding views over the golf course to the mountains beyond including Mount Washington itself at over 5000 feet the highest point in New Hampshire. Great visit and... More

Usually visited in connection with stays at this venerable hotel [built in 1902] in this somewhat remote area at the foot of Mt Washington. A large and well-run ding room with a diverse and sophisticated menu. Outstanding breakfast buffet.

Have eaten here several times. The food was very good, but could have a few more choices. Service was excellent. Live background music. Dance floor present, but not all artists' music was danceable. Great view of the mountains.

We had a good experience in the main dining room, but not exceptional. We had a $100 dining credit as part of our resort package, and elected to dine in the main dining room. After exploring the hotel a bit more, we probably would have chosen Stickney's instead; we heard great things about the food from other guests and it... More

We talked to a local in a pull over while taking a photo, they told us you could go into this amazing hotel buy a coffee from the take away down stairs and sit on the amazing balcony overlooking Mt Washington. We did it was awesome the coffee (Peets) was ok and the cinnamon muffin excellent. The sun was out... More

An historic dining room in an historic hotel. Built as an octagon so no guest could complain of being seated in a corner. Nice views of the Presidential range. Food was very good, as was the service. Expensive, but we felt it was worth it.

Lots of interesting menu choices. Our meal was very good, except the soup. A bit pricey, but location was nice. We were not part of a conference, but it seemed like most of the folks in the hotel were attending a conference- we felt a bit out of place.

Breakfast was the best meal of the day with a large assortment of breakfast items to choose from. They offer all types of breakfast breads, cereals, egg dishes, pancakes/french toast, omelets, yogurt, fruit. Gluten free bread and toasters were also available.

I am positively amazed at this hotel. My room is exceptional with the view of the mountains. The staff is happy to meet every need, and the food was wonderful too. If you get a chance to come here, do so.
