Won’t go back because non of the waitstaff were wearing masks. Makes you wonder about precautions taken in the kitchen. Food was ok- scallop and French fries were overcooked and overpriced. Grilled chicken sandwich was very bland.

My daughter & her kids live in Barrington, NH, just moved there, & I am all the way South in Ga...but wanted to do something to give her a break from cooking & especially a surprise in these crazy pandemic times! Found them online, &...liked the menu choices - She has 3 kids and sometimes picky eaters, so I got a mix, Mac & cheese regular & with Buffalo Chicken in it, & then the Haddock & Chicken Tender dinners. They LOVED it all, everyone had something to enjoy & mix & share. They were super nice to me on the phone & with my daughter who picked up the food They will be tgoing back & when I come to visit, I will check it out for myself too!More

Excellent! A home style pub and dining sections with a comfortable atmosphere, excellent service, and affordable pricing! The steak and scallops with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli was perfect! Their caramel appletini is sweet! Great location to meet people too with easy parking! YUMMMMMMMMMMM

I stopped in here for lunch and found a wonderful place to eat not much to look at from the road but the food was excellent high-quality and well done. Didn’t realize that the history actually went back to 1832 and that the original Frank...Jones was actually born in Barrington. It is family owned and operated and they have beer made by the brewery of the same name located in Portsmouth. I would recommend this for family and had a nice deck for outside dining. All the food is prepared fresh and all the sauces are homemade. I had a fat fish sandwich that they made special for me and the quality of fish was excellent well worth the price and the staff were just sassy enough to make it enjoyable.More

4 of us went for dinner. We were seated quickly. The waitress was there quickly. She was attentive. We pretty much tried lots of different dishes. I had the fish and chips. Wife had a lobster roll. Grand daughter ( teen ) had chicken nuggets....Took around 25 minutes from seating to meal arrival. We got time to chat before dinner. The wife got a lemon meringue martini ($10) that she liked very much. The fish was cooked very nicely. I am not too crazy for the batter, but it didn’t spoil the meal ... if that makes sense. Over all a good meal. Nothing fancy, nothing bad.More

We were the only people in the restaurant but the bar was full. The waitress went between the bar and us but had to spend more time in the bar due to it being busier. I ordered a flatbread which was okay. I took about...2/3 on it home and when reheating it found under the spinach it was burned and black. The bottom was ok. I think it was turned over so you couldn’t see the burned part. I was there another time and ordered a salad and my friend a blt. Both came out with no tomatoes and nothing was said. When we asked we were told someone was running to the store to buy some. Later we got a plate of tomatoes but were done with our meal. Not sure I want to try them again.More

I hope this potential diamond stays off the radar. Have lived in the area for 30 years and never tried this place. Two dinners and two best anywhere dishes. Hands down the best steak sandwich on earth. I will not be able to eat a...steak sandwich after theirs, every one else’s is so mediocre. The chicken fingers are much better than the Puritan’s! Amazing crunch and breading, just the right size of chicken and a perfect cook. In my 50’s I have always looked for the “Best of’s” and they have at least two on just two visits! A new regular and can’t wait to try more.More

Stopped in on our way to see a movie. The menu is pretty standard. Burgers and sandwiches... appetizers. Couple of dinner options and a tasty looking list of specials. Because we all knew were we saving room for popcorn we ordered small plates of apps...or split a burger. The chicken tenders are honestly some of the BEST I have ever had.... amazing breading super juicy chicken! The burger ordered and split between 2 of the diners looked and tasted perfect. Also ordered was a chicken quesadilla and I have never seen one look so good! It was thick and had lots of tasty chicken and cheese inside... Only reason not giving a higher review is the staff was inattentive and forgetful... almost died of thirst! Ordered water received lemon aid... the “extras” ordered were not brought.... the waitress was too busy chatting with the locals on the bar side of the restaurant to pay any attention to her other paying customers... Would still return here just for the foodMore

We were traveling with our camper so we parked along the road. So parking was not an issue. We stopped during the week and very much after any lunch crowd. Only a very few customers. Luncheon menu was quite small. Service and food was great....Very much liked this place.More

We live in the next town over and have never stopped into Frank Jones Pub. My sister asked if we wanted to meet for dinner so we decided Frank Jones was the closest. The food was excellent, we shared the poutine and the huge onion...rings along with our regular meals. the waitress who asked not to use her name haha made us laugh all night - she even attempted to act like Ada Bielecka the pole dancer. She still cracks me up as I am writing this. We will back for more fun. I recommend stopping in even if you have a beer.More

Stopped in for lunch with my mom. Bar room to the left had high top seating with TVs, as well as seats at a bar. To the right were booth tables as well as regular tables and chairs to choose from. Met by a very...friendly wait person. She was excellent with catering to anything that was needed or wanted. Started off with a Bloody Mary followed by a tap beer. Bloody was ok with ample horseradish and a side of an olive and hot pepper. The beer was ice cold which is always appreciated. Had poutine fries and chicken pot pie. She had French onion soup and the fish and chips plate. Poutine fries were ok. I’d grade them average to above average. The pot pie was excellent. Served right from the oven. Crust was flaky and everything you’d expect from a pot pie and more. My mom said the soup was excellent and she liked the fish. She said it tasted fresh with a lite fry. A little expensive for a lunch at $70 bill for 2 for the above mentioned food. However, pub environment on the inside with descent food will make us return for at least apps and beer. Have heard the seafood here is fresh and would like to return to try that too.More

We travel for work and fly in on Thursdays, and it is becoming our normal ritual to go to Frank Jones for dinner and drinks. The food has been excellent every time we visited and our drinks are always full. The service is outstanding; I...think the longest we ever waited for a drink was two minutes. It is the most unpretentious bar we found since moving to NH and I would recommend Frank Jones to anyone!More
